"I smell guilt. There is a stench of guilt upon the air."
Sometimes, Tim felt like Voldemort, because he too could smell guilt. It permeated his nostrils, disgusting and raw and, unfortunately, there. It smelt like blood and tears and loneliness. It smelt like fear and dust and… did he already say loneliness? And no matter how much he showered, the smell of guilt would never leave. It had gotten into the grout. Into the floorboards. Into the marrow.
