“Pete look at the water!” Peter snapped his head up and looked into what Morgan was trying to show him. In the water there were two figures, one was in red and the other in black. They were face up and floating next to each other.
“Are they people? What are people doing in our creek?”
“I’ll see, you stay here.” Morgan nodded as the spider boy walked to the other side of the creek. Peter could tell that it was two people in the creek, but how they got there was a mystery. From what he could see it was a man and woman, both seemed at peace, but then it was the floating of red hair that had Peter’s breath caught in his throat.
“Pete? What is it? Are they okay?”
“Morgan go back to the house and get everyone now! I think it’s Natasha and Tony!” Morgan could only nod, in shock, before her little legs carried her back to the cabin.
(Or Tony and Natasha are alive because that's how it should've been.)

For a long moment, a moment in which Bucky felt gifted with sudden insight into who Steve was, he thought it could go either way. Then Steve smiled, this one warm and bright and just for Bucky, and it raced through him, lodging inside him like a miniature sun. "Guess I'd be a bit ungrateful to say no."
Some Heralds change the world. Some Heralds save it. Some Herald's names are woven through the very fabric of Valdemar. But most don't, and most aren't. Most Heralds simply do their duty, their Companions by their sides, their stories recorded in dusty Crown records not Bardic ballads.
Steve and Bucky figured they were most Heralds—no ballads required, thanks—and they were mostly right. What they didn't account for was that no Herald was ordinary—and with the two of them bound so tightly together, extraordinary was sure to follow.

Summary

Steve seems kind enough, has a prominent job in the government, and was even voted Society's Best Catch. But the House Rogers is significantly higher in status than Bucky's family, which means Bucky is marrying up in Society, and marrying up doesn't only come with rewards, it also comes with certain...expectations and losses--some of which Bucky might be willing to do anything to avoid. And those opportunities might come his way.

But when Steve discovers the purpose and outcomes of Zola and Strazds' work, Bucky has no choice but to come clean about the medical issues he'd been having, and to face the staggering truth that his reproductive system has been successfully altered to sustain a pregnancy.
It's not how Steve had hoped to start a family, but he can work with it.

A man wearing a light denim jacket over a dark blue shirt came into the shop, a box tucked under his right arm. Despite it being late afternoon, he was wearing sunglasses with bright blue lenses, and his long, dark hair was pulled back in a messy little bun. A few strands had escaped, framing his strong, unshaven jawline. The man looked into the café, smiled widely, and waved in Clint’s direction as he kept walking into the bookstore, and Steve’s mouth went completely dry.
Beautiful, was the only word to describe that smile; straight, white teeth framed by full, lush, red lips, bracketed by laugh lines and an adorable dimple in his right cheek, a charming little chin cleft just visible under the light stubble—Steve was struck literally speechless. And that was before he got a glimpse of the man’s backside. Slim hips and a round, firm-looking ass led to long, lean legs that were encased in snug, dark blue jeans.
“Guh,” Steve said, watching the dark-haired man continue on to the back of the store.
