“Prongs I know you understand me, so stop pretending not to.” Sirius says as he and the stag walk further down the quiet castle hallway.
“What you were even doing out at this hour, I have no idea. But I do understand needing to have a little run through the forest.”
The stag turns its head toward Sirius and blinks and huffs air at him. Obviously agreeing.
“But surely you could have let literally any one of us know where you were? Hell, I probably would have gone with you!”
The stag's ears twitch and his snout nudges Sirius's shoulder.
“I know you’re sorry, it’s okay really. We were just worried and when we didn’t see you anywhere on the map, I thought the only place you could be is outside.”
The stag huffs again.
“I know, I’m brilliant.”

Summary
Tony Stark did it, he managed to bring back his kid after years of mourning. Peter's new relationship with Tony is fragile and frankly terrifying. Minutes after being brought back from the dead he's witnessing what he thinks are Tony's final moments. He returns to the city, to May and her new husband Steven. Hoping to be comforted after losing a father figure, he's faced with the reality of living with his childhood rapist. Peter Parker's suffering doesn't end there. The once-beloved sense of family he'd found in May has all but dissipated since he's returned. She's cold and distant and doesn't pay any mind to what Skip does to Peter behind closed doors. "Well," Margaret sniffed after taking another long drink from her glass, "Evan gave away the rights to the child he helped bring into the world already."
"I didn't have any rights, Mom," Buck replied through gritted teeth. "I just helped out a couple of friends who wanted to be parents."
"And besides," Margaret continued, as though Buck hadn't spoken, "with his new...romantic preferences, it would be impossible."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Buck asked, voice raised.
"There are other ways to have a child, Mom," Maddie said. "It's 2025, for Christ's sake."
"Still," their mother huffed, picking up the wine glass in front of her, "Evan can't keep a relationship longer than 6 months. Maybe if he wasn't so hard to love, he could keep somebody that actually wanted him."

“Buck, sweetheart, why should you have just let me keep going?” Eddie questioned, and Buck felt his walls crumbling.
“Well, it’s my job, isn’t it?” His voice was quiet, barely a whisper.
Buck could see Eddie's breath catch in his throat before he swallowed. “What’s your job?” Eddie asked, though Buck could tell Eddie already knew what he would say next.
Buck took a deep breath before answering, “To have sex with you.” He finally said, “It’s my job as your boyfriend to have sex with you.”

“Christ Eddie, you gave me your son!” He yelled now, the anger rising fast from somewhere he didn’t recognise. “You wrote it, signed it and sealed it with your life, binding us all together. What did you expect me to do with that!? Or was it just a…a break glass in case of an emergency thing? Buck will always be there to pick up the pieces, but only when we need him and when he can be useful.”
Eddie scowled, his jaw twitching.
“That is not fair.” His eyes were dark, eyebrows furrowed in equal anger to Bucks. “You can’t use that against me.”or
Eddie leaves for Texas, and Buck follows, only to quickly return a broken man.
As they deal with the fallout, Eddie learns to fight for himself and Buck learns to live again in a world where he doesn't get to love Eddie Diaz.

In the end, moving in with Buck is surprisingly easy.
It still breaks Eddie’s brain a little to think about it like that. This is his house, has been his house for years, the best years of his life, probably. This is where Christopher grew up, the place they both call home still. And sure, Eddie’s been renting it all this time, so it might not technically be his, but it’s close enough, right?
Close enough, except he moved all his belongings into a Uhaul and then into El fucking Paso, into what was supposed to be a fixer-upper and turned out to be some sort of haunted husk of a house with more problems than Eddie has hairs on his head, and now it’s not really home anymore, hasn’t been home for a while, except it also kind of never stopped.
