Summary
Tears are staining his pale bony cheeks. Eyes puffy and red, water flooding them. His nose is snotty and he can't stop that ugly feeling inside his chest and he can't breathe.
Akutagawa tries, he oh so desperately tries. With practice things will always go right. But never for Akutagawa. Never for him.
The tears start to soak a lot more into the dirty, disgusting bed, making a puddle of wet and absorbed tears. It feels weird and uncomfortable to be lying face on soggy things, especially if it's ridden with your bitter salty tears.
Akutagawa ignores the bitter thoughts clouding up in his head, they're suffocating and drowning him and he doesn't need any more negativity than he already has. It's depressing. To be so acquainted with sorrow itself. He tries to steady his vision, but nonetheless his vision swims and it feels as if his eyesight got sick of him too.
Or,
Akutagawa really just being a depressed mentally ill and unstable highschooler whom should not be left alone by himself.

Summary

With the conspiracy no closer to an answer and Akutagawa's health rapidly deteriorating, the duo must survive together on the streets of Yokohama and, if they're lucky, find their own way forward, beyond the shackles of the past.

Summary
Chuuya punches the window, shattering it instantly. He jumps down, and Dazai pokes his head out of the window. Chuuya gives him a thumbs up after situating himself. He jumps out, and Chuuya has no issue catching him. Chuuya puts him down, then turns back to the window, but Akutagawa is already on the ground floor.
“Come on, we have to get out of here before-” Chuuya starts, but an alarm starts blaring all around them. “We have to get out of here.”
Something blows up to their right, and the blast is enough to throw Akutagawa and Dazai off their feet.
“The alarm wasn’t for us,” Chuuya says as he pulls Dazai up.
“You think someone’s attacking them, and we’re just in the wrong place at the wrong time?”
“Yes.”

Why can’t Higuchi just understand that?
EXCERPT:
Akutagawa was lost. Desperately clawing at his throat as he was cut off on both ends by two threats, hyperventilation and phlegm and blood cutting his circulation off. Hunched over, using both of his hands as leverage and instead simply spitting blood onto the cold floor. Cold, cold, cold, everything was so cold. And hot, and painful, the burn in his throat and the dizziness in his head accentuated by his breathlessness.
“Akutagawa-san?” Higuchi tilts her head, eyes widening. Her shoes clicking slowly on cold ground as she approached her boss, slow and cautious to not spark some hostile reaction.

surprise surprise oda hates dazai so there was thatthen sushi pulled aku aside to talk abt stuff but then aku got memories of beast!AKU so that was a ploy element

Akutagwa didn't have the answers no matter how many times they asked. But the torture was never for him but rather for Atsushi, trapped behind glass and unable to do anything but watch. Akutagawa or the woman he was hired to protect, a life for a life.
