Summary
”Hello, my name is Gale Dekarios. Would you be so kind as to call me an ambulance? I appear to be having some kind of episode.”
”We do not have time to help this… ‘ambulance’. We must report directly to my Kith’rak.” asserted the green one.
“We are in need of aid ourselves, perhaps you can travel with us until we find a healer,” said the purple one.
Just his luck. He was stuck in some kind of nightmare trip with the most dedicated roleplayers in the world.
Gale’s life is quiet and predictable, spent working at the library and having quiet evenings with his cat- when he’s not dealing with his insufferable neighbor, Astarion.
That is until he wakes up in a world of magic and danger, where he knows nothing and no one, except for one constant: Astarion is still there, sharper, deadlier, and just as much of an asshole.
Now Gale has to survive a story he doesn’t belong in, with no plan, no knowledge of magic, and no idea how to get home.

Summary
Astarion thought he'd escaped his past. Then he inherited it.
Summary: When Astarion learns that he has inherited both Cazador's title and his horror show of a palace, Astarion wants to ignore the whole mess in the worst way, but Gale insists they return to Baldur's Gate and do the paperwork to truly rid themselves of the last of Cazador's ugly legacy. However, the house is haunted and has its own agenda for Astarion. Between a bureaucracy more convoluted than the schemes of the Dead Three, corrupt Patriars who want Astarion to step into Cazador's old shoes, and a tax bill large enough to crush Waterdeep, Gale and Astarion learn that Cazador is almost as much trouble dead as he was alive.
Canon Caveats: Plausible as post-canon canon-compliant fic, with some magical realism and exceptions to strict 5e magic rules.

Summary
Astarion Ancunín is far from qualified to be running an advice column, he told his boss as much. His life is a fucking mess. He is estranged from his family, if he could even call them that. He has exactly two friendships and he had to be bullied into both of them. He’s never been in a relationship, let alone love. He should not be in charge here.
But he is, and to his shock, no one has been clamoring for his resignation.
Gale Dekarios should be grateful. He is grateful. He’s an incredibly successful fantasy author. He has more wealth than he knows what to do with. He has a big house, a fast car, and an adoring cat. What more could he want?
A divorce is a good place to start.
He can figure out what it means to be happy again afterwards.

Stanley Pines’ Quick and Easy Guide for how to Avert an Apocalypse by Fangirlwriting

Summary
Stanley Pines is the last person to label himself as the guy to save the world. Especially because the world is so fucked at this point, no one can do it. He stopped believing it possible about half an hour after he witnessed a giant yellow triangle take a bite out of the planet— yeah, he has no idea either, thanks.
He plans for the maybe-week the world has left to stick to feasible goals, like “eat one last meal,” and “don’t die until you get to do it yourself.” But just as the second of those is about to fall through, he’s grabbed by a man with a weird tape measure, whisked off to another time, and told that none of this is supposed to have happened. And that they’re apparently trusting the fate of the world to… him?
They insist that he’s the guy for the job, apparently based on exactly how the triangle got the chance to end the world in the first place. It was, according to them, one idiotic schmuck who let himself get conned. They just need Stan to kill the guy before that happens.
And, sure. It’s not like Stan’s life could get any more insane than it already has. Who do they need him to kill exactly?
…Who do they need him to kill, exactly?

A series of short fics that started out as dyslexic Stan and moves into some of the ways it affected him.
Warning; this was written by someone who doesn't have dyslexia and while it was a bit researched, I was a lot younger so I can't say how well it was researched. Just as a heads up.

Summary
It’s funny, he muses, how he used to blame his eyes for everything. A childhood spent squinting at the chalkboard, his small frame perched at the front of the classroom, desperately trying to make out the shapes of letters and numbers scrawled in thick white strokes. He’d narrow his gaze, focusing with all the intensity a child could muster, but the board remained a vague haze of incomprehensible scribbles. His teacher—a kind woman with a soft, patient voice—was no clearer. Her features would blur at the edges, melding into the backdrop of the classroom, a smudge of colour and motion that he could never quite pin down.

Summary
Astarion had died. A dreadfully boring affair for the vampire, in theory. Yet, this death wasn't the expected blink of darkness turning to a swift revival. Nor did he finally descend to the Hells that most certainly awaited his tormented soul.
This death had the vampire plagued in a strange state of purgatory. He was a ghost, watching memory after memory, visions of the past and of strange events that never happened.
But while most of them made little sense to the vampire, there was one constant throughout it all... Gale.
Gale, that verbose fool of a man. Astarion's chosen target for protection should the others or anyone else turn against him.
In every vision, Gale was there, falling for his trap and becoming enamoured by the vampire. The wizard was clearly smitten—ever helpful, defending Astarion, and keeping his secrets close. And what confused Astarion most of all, so was seeing himself return the sentiment. Watching himself fall in love with the blattering human just as the human clearly fell for him too.
But these were just the deranged dreams of a dying mind. They couldn't possibly be real.
...Right?
