However, after an incident, Wemmbu was separated from Egg and was unable to get back to him by losing the ring. The pressure built up into Scott's head. Like he was going to pop, leave his brain matter scattered across the room for his brood to find. He felt like a spike had pierced the front of his Cranium, it seemed as if his body had finally gone into rigor mortis after centuries of being departed. His knees buckled suddenly and hit the cold mahogany floors with a thud. Clammy hands grabbing at the floors, Nails carving their way through the paneling. All he could hear was the rigging. The pain sent a shiver through his spine that felt as if his soul had been ripped in two halves. All he could feel was the sweat down his back and the grain of wood under his fingers. A small scratch drew itself down the length of his neck.
Or: Scott and Shelby make their way back to Oakhurst after a few centuries away. Friends are waiting for them. The dead calls their name and something's looming over all of them.

During Scotts first day as a gatekeeper he met a young man, blonde hair and facinating yellow canary wings, delivering ores from the nearby town's the mines. over time falling in love with him.
Scott is turned into a vampire by the Goldsmiths and due to his new semi-immortality he outlives Jimmy. heartbroken he flies away and starts a new life for himself, sleeping for 600 years by a town named Oakhurst.
Scott awakens and meets Avid, (vampires plot, yada yada)
Scott dies and meets Jimmy and Avid in the afterlife <3

Satoru is shaking a little when he carefully touches it, caressing his pointed finger down slowly. “I can’t accept this as a gift Suguru” Satoru finally says “this belongs somewhere to the gallery so everyone can see it, not to my room!”
Suguru laughs. “It's yours, Satoru, you can sell it when I become famous” he jokes around. But Satoru’s not paying attention to him. He’s still mesmerized by that painting. Then suddenly some emotion crosses his face that Suguru can't tell what it means but Satoru looks even more surprised than before. His voice is nothing more than a whisper when he finally asks “Is that me?”.
