Summary

Before he could answer another blow to the head had him on the floor. His mouth tasted of copper and his eyes were prickled with stars. Someone had to have known that was his boat, there was no other way he could have ended up there. At least three warriors were laying into him with kicks and blows to his mid section with Calivan shouting at them to avoid his arms and head. Laughing. They were all laughing, wild like animals as they hurt him over and over.
Lucanis has a more than vivid nightmare about his time in the Ossuary and meeting Isseya for the first time.

Summary
Lucanis pushed the pram housing his precious love through the market area of Treviso with a bit of pride swelling in his chest. Plenty of Abuela’s had stopped to coo over Elaris and to congratulate them on “such a wonderful gift”. Most market stall holders were offering gifts and trinkets to honour the birth and to keep their favour with the Talons of the Crows, so much so the undercarriage of the pram was overflowing with all sorts of stuff.
Lucanis and Isseya are still adjusting to their new roles as parents and Spite is adjusting to babies in general. Can he be trusted around such an innocent being?

A whistle behind him indicated that Viago had caught up to them before they’d even got to the quiet corner they were aiming for, baby strapped to his chest. Mariposa was nearing ten months old now, a month or so older than the conception of her cousin. Spite’s outburst announcing baby Dellamorte during her birth seemed like a lifetime ago to everyone and now the arrival of the second baby was imminent.
There isn't long before Isseya and Lucanis are graced with meeting their daughter and naturally, Lucanis is spiralling.

Summary
Lucanis stalked through the bushes of the area of Arlathan Forest he found himself in, tailing a Venatori slaver. When he’d read the contract he couldn’t believe his luck on the intel that had been captured. The slaver had brazenly been trying to take people out in the open without a care who saw him. Spite was on the opposite side of the path giving him perspective from the left hand side. Lucanis read the contract intel one more time, trying to decipher if it was a trap or if the Venatori truly were that desperate to cling to what little power they had left.
Lucanis receives a contract that seems too good to be true and Isseya receives a letter asking for help while out at lunch. The two can't be connected, can they?
