The day started off like any usual day in the hotel, ghosts huddled around the TV chatting obnoxiously loud, Ester practicing her dark magic, Ben trying to boost his ego and failing in doing so, Nathan trying to work the front desk but scaring off potential customers when his hand goes through keys instead of grabbing them. The same old normal they have become so used to after living in the hotel for so long. However, Abaddon had bigger plans in mind today, yes today on this faithful day, Abaddon was finally going to capture the Moth-man, his arch nemesis since the dawn of time.

That was... Unexpected.

But Hiccup?
Surely the name meant something in whatever tongue these people spoke. If it meant what Daemon believed it did, then someone owed him a very good explanation as to why a dragon rider had been burdened with such a name.

He’s lived so long, he’s done just about every drug, tried every type of person on God’s green earth. And from the looks of it, the idiot currently choking him is going to turn the world into even more of a shitshow than it already is. So, instead of struggling, he lets it happen. He doesn’t know if he could beat the kid if he wanted to, but if this is how he dies so be it. As long as it is not the box, he would take true oblivion any day over living forever...
But then his senses clear, he twitches his fingers and forces his heavy eyelids to open. Instead of meeting his maker, or seeing the flickering depths of hell, he blearily recognises a room he hasn’t seen in nearly 50 years.
