Marinette has reached the end of her tether. Hawkmoth is running her ragged as Ladybug, and after three years Lila has finally managed to make good on her promise to ruin her life and leave her all alone. Desperate and exhausted, Marinette finally decides to take drastic measures; something’s gotta give, and that something can’t be Ladybug. She decides to take her civilian self out of the equation for a while, but a terrible sleep-deprived decision forces her to put things into motion way before she’s ready. Now she has to try and stick to her guns, despite the devastation she’s left in her wake…which for some reason seems to have hit Adrien and Chat Noir the hardest.

Marinette is tired, Lila has turned everyone against her, she becomes guardian on the night of Feast and her life and everything is just too much for her, she also finds out the reason behind her parents' disagreement, just to add fuel to the fire. Marinette decides to run away from home to regain a semblance of joy. She uses the fact that she nearly got akumatized to get away, pretending that Ladybird took her away for safety, she adopts a lot of alter egos to keep herself safe, but being away from school, family and her bad friends finally allows her some times to explore being a guardian, something that raises questions about her mortality. Mari live on her own and solidify her relations with her true friends, but the question of her mortality or rather, immortality makes her question herself more and more.
Not so cartoon logic as in the show, it has the psychological aspect of season 6, but no Kingdom, it isn't that existensial. This fic has a hopeful ending, if you want sad, go read Myosotis.No AI, I am sorry if it's bad english is not my first language and autocorrect is kicking my ass. We only see from character pov so it's never good to take things at face value. Plot can be slow, I'm very technical
