“Her brother, Benedict Bridgerton, was stood on a Balcony in Lady Danbury's house, being kissed by another man. Rather intensely, in fact, and from the looks of it, her brother was not an unwilling participant.
"Oh" she hadn't meant to let it out, but there was no changing that she had, and the small noise she made was enough for both men to snap and look at her, and she her eyes locked onto the wide and shocked ones of her brother.”
Or, Eloise accidentally stumbles on her brother kissing another man, and this leads her down a path of confusion and realization. Benedict finds her on the swings afterwards, and they both learn new things about themselves and each other.

She’s prepared for a fight, since she first decided to tell him, planned and braced for facing him down heated and harsh. She’s never seen him angry before, but she could imagine it. She gathered that cold hard ball of feeling in her chest from the end of last season and drawn out of it the most vicious things he could say to her, prepared her responses, inoculated herself to the hurt. Only here she is, ready for it, and is met with his eyes, the same as ever, open and intent and soft.
“Pen,” he says, gentling his voice. “Sit down.”

Lady Whistledown could spot a lady faking a fainting spell from the corner of her eye while she made up a plate of sweets. Pen made sure to avoid all the obvious flaws. She did not moan or cry out. She took a step and let the momentum carry her to her knees for a second before her upper body slumped lifeless. Her face hit the floor last, and she resisted the tickle of a feather. She knew her skirt was off her ankles, but she did not twitch. She went from a prospective bride to a satin pancake crumpled from flipping before it was cooked.

Movement, there, on the rooftop. Taking aim at the shadowy figure with one gun, Jesper called out, “Inej, I swear on everything, if that’s you I’m going to be—”
More movement, out of the corner of his eye at the exit of the alley. He lifted the other gun to point in that direction. “If this is some attempt at a prank, Inej, it’s in rather poor taste.”
A flash of black on the rooftop on the other side. This time Jesper aimed both revolvers that way, his hands perfectly steady even though his heart was pumping wildly.
The only warning he got was the sound of a boot in the dirt behind him before something heavy struck him on the head and he fell face first onto the ground.

Jesper keeps something from Wylan that was maybe a little bit important. One things leads to another, and now they've been kidnapped. Whoops.
