Summary
During an eventful night fighting darkspawn, Warden Lilja Thorne is recruited by none other than Varric Tethras and Scout Lace Harding. Dismissed by the First Warden for not following orders, Warden Thorne joins her fellow dwarves in their search for a friend, Solas, a trickster elven god trying to tear down The Veil. When their search finally reaches its assumed end, the ritual they are trying to stop turns into a whole new set of problems, leaving Lilja "Rook" Thorne to build a team and save the world from the Evanuris and Sixth Blight.
Despite being someone who keeps the more intimate details of her life to herself, Rook finds herself surrounded by new companions that she readily calls friends. Slowly, but surely, Rook falls for one Scout Lace Harding, and while she has her reservations, she finds herself happily following the Scout wherever she may lead.

Formerly House De Riva's secret weapon, the protégé of the Fifth Talon, Selora "Rook" de Riva, is grappling with being thrust into leadership after confronting Solas in Minrathous. The contract she took with Varric has only gotten increasingly more complicated.
One those complications arriving in the shape of Lucanis Dellamorte, master assassin and grandson of the First Talon. Selora only knows the Demon of Vyrantium through the stories told about him but, as it turned out, breaking him out of the Ossuary was the easy part. Fresh out of a Venatori prison, possessed by a demon, and reeling from the loss of his grandmother, Lucanis is wary of them but committed to completing the contract Caterina left for him.
The Disgraced Crow and Crow-Turned-Abomination gain each other's trust and learn to work together to save Treviso and go up against the Evanuris.

Rook survived the Kirkwall Circle. She survived Crow training. She even survived a meeting with the Dread Wolf. But, she's starting to wonder if her sanity will survive the Demon of Vyrantium.
Before Spite, before the Antaam, before his "death" and her defiance, Lucanis and Rook had history together. No, not that kind of history, for all that Rook had wished for it. They were colleagues, and on their better days Rook would have even called them friends. Never mind that she had fallen for him from their first mission together; never mind that she was the one mage he trusted to have his back; never mind that she'd saved his life once already and he'd owed her a debt long before the Ossuary. They'd left too many things unsaid, and what words were spoken before it all fell apart had been shouted in anger.
Now it's the end of the world, and with it, a second chance. But a demon, a Blight, and three Elven gods stand in their way, and the odds for anything good are stacked against them. How fortunate then, that a Rook can rise above anything, and a Crow's stubbornness can spite the gods themselves.
It's just getting out of their own way that's the real problem.
