Summary
Rose volunteers for a nonprofit that rescues sex-trafficked omegas, and Shane thinks it's a great cause. He even attends their fundraising galas.
Then, one night, Rose calls to ask for a favor: She wants Shane to let a recently-rescued male omega live with him. In his apartment.
His name is Ilya, Rose explains, and the thing is, despite omega hormone levels, he acts and smells just like an alpha. He can't keep staying in an omega group home because he's scaring the other omegas and endangering the staff.
But he could live with Shane, Rose insists. "You're a big strong alpha hockey player, so he can't intimidate you physically. But also he needs to feel safe, which he can with you, because you're not like other alphas." She pauses. "You know?"
By which she means Shane has never had a full rut, his scent glands barely work, he can't form a knot, and he has no interest in sticking his dick in anyone. Which, whatever. It's fine.
But if being a failure as an alpha means he can help this omega, Ilya, who's apparently as much of a biological anomaly as Shane is…
Shane says yes.
And maybe it's a stupid decision. But he knows that it's also the right one.

Summary
(Set within the Underline the Black universe). Charles considered his next move. His 'gift', even a couple of weeks on, was still perplexing him because he wasn't sure of the best way to handle him. Erik was... unstable. He was a classic example of being riddled with post traumatic stress, trauma induced mental breakdowns, with defenses and walls everywhere. Kal-El had been right, strangely enough. Erik might not intend to harm them, but he was effectively a highly powered equivalent of a grenade with its pin out that you've just noticed in the corner of the room.

Summary
No species is all good or all evil. The tok'ra like to believe they are the "good" side of the onac race--the symbiotes who developed into the goa'uld. However, the tok'ra never mention Shamash or Samas, the ancient Sumerian god who was really one of the early queens. She (or really Samas prefers to be called a he) remembers the onac before the corruption of Ra, and he tried to lead his people back to a life in the water. He failed. However, thousands of years later, one gunnery sergeant on a suicide mission stumbled into a South American river, and Samas found he had another chance. The SGC and later Atlantis gave Samas a chance to save his people and make a few changes for the better in this universe. Samas once allowed Ra to take everything away from him. This time Samas is going to make sure his people are strong enough to stand up to any enemy. And to serve that end, he's going to make sure that those that he trusts--Tony, John, Rodney, Teyla, Ronon, Elizabeth, Major Teldy, Radek, Miko, Kyli and others--have the power to combat anyone who tries to take Atlantis from them.
