Oh the beauty.
this may be the first thing I have ever read that had an aesthetic in the prose. It was beauty oozing out of every word, I could practically smell the wood and feel the lacy fabrics at my fingertips, this is unbelievably well written. I don’t usually enjoy d/s dynamics, cannot fathom why people be into it and this fic? Oh it explained and demonstrated it so well, so naturally, I was glued to every word and understand every single little thing Hannibal has done.Top 3 most memorable Hannibal fics and probably the prettiest.
This felt like lace, soft (kinda) lolita, old red carousels and the old theatre feeling/visuals I adore more than anything.

Summary

Will laughs, just once, a quick, dark, rich sound that causes the hairs at the back of Hannibal’s neck to stand pleasantly on end. He does not shy away from eye contact with Hannibal the way he does with so many others, rubbing his thumb along his lower lip, enough to tug it gently out of place as he considers his response.
He curls his lip back into his mouth to wet it before asking, “Tell me, Doctor Lecter, have you ever been mated? Willingly or…otherwise.” But for the barest tightening of his smile and a flash of something once brittle, now hardened, behind storm-colored eyes, one would never suspect the sort of madness and past traumas that lurk behind the omega’s guarded cerulean gaze.

read this in two or three days uh ok
it started out as really good normal a/b/o, the whole way through the fic i was ecstatic about all the politics, amazing and organic worldbuilding and that sex really took a backseat. 10/10
the ending was so extremely unexpected. if in chap 20 you think of the beginning your head will spin because how the fuck did we get here and then you'll get a huge grin on your face bc it actually was quite a natural and organic buildup to that point
if you try to guess the ending at any point in the first half of the fic, you'll be so so so far off. there is not even a 1% chance you can guess it and that's beautifulthe writing was amazing, and there were so many ideas in this that were so fucking unbelievably creative and fitting, i'll give this author so many kisses
