Takes place within The Dubai Chronicles series.
Full Context: Armand has been developing Louis’s dependence on him, overly controlling his thoughts, actions and intake, and playing with Louis’s memory. Their relationship nevertheless has its romantic moments, both physically and through the blood, but usually always with baggage and other strings attached because it’s Loumand. Armand thinks that by pulling Louis apart he is protecting Louis (from himself) and strengthening their relationship. Both Armand and Louis think that they have removed themselves of the world and live in an impenetrable fortress; both are mistaken.

“Hollander? You are still here?” Rozanov called, breaking the TV static silence filling Shane’s head. He blinked.
“Uh. Yeah, just leaving,” he answered, surprised by how steady his voice sounded. Good, that was good. He knew he couldn’t show Rozanov any weakness if he wanted to keep coming back.
But did he want to come back if it made him feel like this?
“Door is too heavy? Or I fuck you too good, you cannot move legs,” came Rozanov’s taunting response. Shane could practically see the tilted smirk on his face, cigarette smoke wafting around his freshly-showered curls.
“Fuck off, Rozanov,” Shane muttered.

But the video didn’t end there.
“Can I ask if you’ve ever been with another guy?” she had to ask.
And he, tears visible in his eyes, had to nod.
Just once. Just a single nod.
Why did he have to nod?
“Have you ever told anyone that before?” He shook his head. “Was it different? With a guy?”
