Tommy may seem harmless at first glance, but Phil and Techno know otherwise. To be a gemsmith, a person who connects soulmates, is not a profession for those who are docile.
But Tommy is intriguing at first glance. Always talking, always moving, always challenging them. So they stick around. Not too long though, they have two other soulmates to find, but long enough to develop their relationship beyond customer and shopkeeper.
If only they realized why they were developing this relationship in the first place before the Hunters came knocking on Tommy’s shop.

Instead, Prime decided to screw him over and gave him powers that did nothing but hurt him and get him into deep shit. For years Tommy had been held captive by King Dream, unable to do anything but stay put for fear of retribution, but with impending war with the Antarctic Empire approaching, Tommy could feel things were going to change, and for once he didn't think his powers to see the future could at all help him to prevent what was to come.
Tommy was balancing on a cliff's edge and he did not know if he would be strong enough to survive the fall.

He kept his shoulder touching the wall the whole time, it helped him not run into people. The rough texture only slightly bothers him. Tubbo suggested he use a walking stick; it would help him walk and feel the surroundings but also make other people aware of his lack of eyesight. He said no, he didn’t want people to treat him differently just because he was ‘disabled’. He was a big man, he wasn’t a pussy that needed help. It’s the same reason he wore glasses. Not the blind people glasses, normal everyday glasses that still hid his eyes.

Technoblade gives Tommy a long look. Then, he shakes his head. "Fine. Whatever. A runt is…something precious. It's- hm, it's difficult to explain in common." He glances at the other piglin grunting a repetitive sound for a moment.
"Runts are piglins that are smaller than average. Much smaller. They're meant to be cared for. Healthy runts mean a healthy bastion. They're meant to me cherished," the brute pauses before adding on, "they're a good thing."
"Then why the fuck are you calling me that? I'm not a piglin."
Technoblade exchanges another glance with the other piglin. The latter nods with a determined look in his eyes. Technoblade sighs as he turns back to Tommy.
"My friend here is of the opinion that you're a hybrid. A piglin hybrid."
////Tommy should really pay better attention to his surroundings. Otherwise, he might not have ended up abducted by a pack of piglins and dragged back to their base.

“Something has been stolen from us,” Thanatos said, his wings puffing up as he spoke. “Something that is very important to us. And we are fairly certain that the person who stole this thing of ours is in this very crowd.”
Dream tensed beside Tommy as the crowd broke out into murmurs. Eyes were darting towards the different heroes in the crowd, the benefactors no doubt assuming that the culprit had to be a hero.
“Like we said, we haven’t crashed your party to cause trouble. But we want this thing returned to us, and we won’t hesitate to take extreme measures to get what we want.”
or, Tommy was a lot of things: a newly debuted hero sidekick, an amnesiac, and a former kidnapping victim of the Syndicate.
Tommy didn't actually remember that last one though. That was just what Dream told him.
Only weeks after his hero debut, the Syndicate announces they are searching for something, and Tommy knows it has to be him. The scariest part? If they find him, Tommy will have no clue what to expect, because the Syndicate might know him, but he has no memories of them.
So he can't let them find him. No matter what.
Of course they end up finding him anyway.
