When he turns his head to glance inside, eyes seeking for something to do without a customer to handle, Benson sees how his hair’s matted down to his forehead under the bill of his cap, sees the sparkle of sweat above his lip. Bradley doesn’t notice him looking, never does, but especially not now as he wavers in his spot in front of the register from the movement. His eyelids flutter a little, and Benson thinks too belatedly that the kid’s gonna eat tile if he doesn’t sit down.Benson looks away, back down to the table, squeezing his eyes shut hard for a second and pressing his thumb to the spot between his brows. The heat’s making his mind run too fucking slow.

He eyes Benson’s jacket one more time before turning to grab a dishrag and heading back to the counter. He passes by Benson mopping near one of the back tables and, this close, he’d know he was passing by Benson even with his eyes closed. He always smells like what Randy imagines the smoking section of a bar is like.That was the other tell, he realizes belatedly — the green coat smells like musty cigarettes. Rained-through and dredging up to surface all the stale smoke embedded in the threads.

“Interests?” He remembered he was wearing his battle vest, Nick’s hand lingering right in the middle of the giant Dio patch. “Oh, you like the heavy stuff too?”
“I really do.”
“Fuck yeah,” Eddie said before he could stop himself. His face got hot. Shit, that sounded way too eager, a totally excessive level of enthusiasm just for meeting another gay metalhead. He had given himself away as a clueless virgin, and Nick was going to stop smiling, walk away, and find someone with the ability to maintain his cool for the length of half a conversation.
But Nick didn’t stop smiling. Instead he said, “I know you just got a drink, but do you want to get out of here?”
Or: After his near-death experience, Eddie decides it's time to get rid of his pesky virginity and heads to a gay bar. It leads to some... realizations... for both him and Steve.

okay so I never read unfinished fics and technically this fic is not complete, BUT my beautiful wonderful and always-right wife insisted I read it anyway and she was beautiful, wonderful and right. It still ends on a pretty satisfying note and is worth the read regardless. Good characterization, soft!dom-curious Steve, which is just so cute and there's honestly never enough of. Also, justice for sub!Eddie, the best Eddie. While on the note of not enough, more writers need to realize Eddie "She's in charge!" Munson's true nature lol.
(I get a lot of y'all don't actually play D&D out there because it's not for everyone but just a note to keep in mind from your friendly neighborhood queer D&D player: most DMs are brats or control freaks, but only rarely ever tops lol)

"I don't ever do this," Ben says, but it's the drink talking. He'd never admit it sober. "It doesn't freak you out?"
He doesn't mean to phrase it as a question, but it's too late to take it back. (It's the end of the universe talking, whispering, you have nothing else left to lose.)
Klaus' smile is small, and it disappears too quickly for Ben to have time to think about where it comes from.
