Silco hummed a low song in his throat to lure his gaze back, felt Vander's cock stiffen against his belly as he was drawn back to the solitary focus of just the two of them.

“Well that’s-” Merlin’s voice is two octaves too high and he clears his throat, “That’s ridiculous. That’s madness. You’re right, Beddyn’s men are useless. See the strangest things, this lot, impossible things.”

Arthur very much likes his bed. It's warm and comfortable and most importantly all his. There isn't a time he'd consider letting anyone else take some of his plush blankets or kick his feet, let alone letting his guard down enough to sleep beside them.
At least, there wasn't. Over the years, things have a terrible habit of changing. The closer Arthur finds himself drifting towards his manservant- his friend- his best and only friend- the more he finds himself reaching for his warmth and squinty-eyed smiles. After all, what could possibly weave its way between the trust they've built?

The room beyond was small by the standards of Paradise Manor, which was to say it was still larger than most peasants' entire homes. But it felt small, intimate. The walls were hung with fabric in deep reds and golds, embroidered with patterns of butterflies and flowers that seemed to shift and move in the low light. The floor was covered in layer upon layer of plush rugs, each one softer than the last, each one clearly chosen for comfort above all else. There were no windows, which Xie Lian supposed made sense for a room meant to hold scent.
And there, in the center of the room, was a nest.

“It’s just… You don’t look like a tentacle demon.”
“Oh, I am sorry, let me just—” The self-proclaimed tentacle demon rolls his eyes. In the next moment, his form seems to unfurl, and he unleashes his— well, his tentacles. His sclera darken to a deep, inky black, and his shadow fills the room. If the demon’s expression weren’t so deadpan, Jayce might have pissed himself in fear. As it is, the demon’s tentacles wiggle limply in a poor approximation of jazz hands, as if to say ‘ta-da!’
Slow, horrible realization creeps over Jayce. He just microaggressed a demon. He's a monster. Worse, he’s… rude.

Wilson had bought stickers.
They were the kind that had little praises on them. “Gorgeous!”, “Stunning!”, or “Beautiful!” some read, while others were more like “Good Job!”, “Great Work!”, and “Wow! Spectacular!”
The hospital had very good pediatrics, and Wilson took great care in making sure the cancer kids felt worthy of their life, even for a moment, even from a doctor who only knew them for a moment.
That’s Wilson’s logic, anyway. House just called him silly.
