Things are going (not) well when he and fellow Ultimate, Iron Man, are tasked with infiltrating a Thai resort serving as a front for illegal arms dealing. Only catch: They must go undercover as a married couple on their honeymoon.

Now Tony must deal with his own problems in order to help the copy of his best friend cope with waking up in a whole new world on top of 70 years in ice. As an added problem his new companion is a werewolf. Oh the world is ending. Again.

In an infinite number of timelines, Tony suspects that there must be one where he wasn’t systematically abused, controlled, and imprisoned by Obadiah in his own home following his capture and imprisonment by terrorists. There’s probably one where he built the suit sooner, escaped sooner, and perhaps even one where he didn’t have to kill Iron Monger in the end. In fact, there’s probably one where Obadiah really did love him as a son. And he’s going to find it.

Nobody was ever going to know. Steve would be a good husband, a good father, and he’d never give in to sin and touch another man.
But Steve makes two mistakes, one after the other: he leaves two words out of the Pledge of Allegiance, and he doesn’t notice a camera flash among the strobe lights of a dark club, because he’s dancing with his clumsy hands on Tony’s hips.

His hands— cold, clammy, lightly trembling— reached for the glass of water on his nightstand. His grip was tight; he knew he would drop it if given the chance.
It was lukewarm against his lips, and wholly unsatisfying. His forearms shook slightly with the tension, the tremors in his hands causing a noticeable shift in the water. It had a syrup-y quality to it as it dipped back and forth in its glass, almost, though he hadn’t noticed the difference in texture as he drank. The longer he stared, the lower the viscosity, as if it noticed him perceiving it and willfully moved with less ease.
