Peter Parker is a ghost in his own story...
Months after the spell that erased him from everyone’s memory, he’s living in the shadows; no ID, no support, no one left to save. He works three under-the-table jobs, patrols at night in a suit held together by desperation, and survives on barely edible food and sheer willpower. His healing factor is failing. His body is crashing. And he’s not sure how much longer he can keep going.
Then he runs into Bucky Barnes. THE Winter Soldier.
Peter slips. Says too much. Moves too fast. And Bucky, who shouldn’t remember him, starts asking questions. Questions that could unravel everything.
Now Peter’s spiraling, terrified that one moment of recognition could collapse the universe all over again. With nowhere left to turn, he makes a choice: break into Avengers Tower, patch up his suit, and maybe, just maybe, survive one more night.

After saving the city from the Void and being unexpectedly proclaimed "the New Avengers," the Thunderbolts team is sent back to Alexei's house to spend the night while arrangements are made for settling Earth's new mightiest heroes into the Avengers watch tower in New York City. This is the team's first glimpse into their future living together as a ragtag group of former assassins and washed-up loners, and while their histories and personalities make for an oddly unique family dynamic, they grow to realize just how important they are becoming in each others' lives. But, with the torment of their past traumas and the terrifying first experience with the Void still fresh on everyone's minds, settling into their role as heroes and teammates does not come easily. They know no sleep without nightmares, no safety without isolation or violence, and no peace of mind with the guilt they each bear. Around each other, however, the emptiness they all know so well begins to feel a little lighter.

their rising success throws them straight into the crossfire of thunderbolts politics, new avengers bureaucracy, and valentina allegra de fontaine’s truly unhinged idea of “mentorship” and "branding".
the young avengers can only watch and sigh as they manage to deal with threats more effectively than two entire teams of properly-funded, fully adult avengers. maybe the world really, really needs the young avengers. like, desperately. please, the avengers(squared) are going to kill eachother before doing literally anything of help.
OR kamala is getting together her own super-hero team: the young avengers. it goes surprisingly well. art first.

Two times the new Avengerz thought John Walker the epitome of American was a homophobe and the one time they were very very wrong
From Fic: “What are you watching?” he spoke with a raised eyebrow, ignorant of the glance Bob and Yelena shared. While Bob and Yelena didn't think Walker was transphobic, they didn't want to risk finding out. I mean, Walker was the epitome of American blond hair and blue eyes and the cocksure smile and his overall assholeness, not to mention how patriotic he was towards America—not so much the government; he’d burnt that bridge— In Yelena and Bob's minds, the chances of him being at least a little bit were high.

The air was frigid; mid-October was sweeping into the city in great gusts of wind, cool during the day but chilly at night, and Yelena had bundled up in oversized sweats and fuzzy socks to combat the cold. He, however, was wearing nothing but a t-shirt and shorts, feet bare and dangling over the edge. Staring out over the abyss. It made something twist in the pit of her stomach.

Summary
John Walker wasn’t exactly known for his stellar communication abilities. His military training taught him that boys don’t cry, feelings were for sissies, and other similar sentiments. While he understood the value that emotional conversations could hold for others, he just couldn’t do it himself. It wasn’t in his nature. Emotions other than anger were a childish pastime, that he’d rather forget and move past.
This naturally clashed with the family-focused culture that had formed in Avengers Tower. It was so damn sappy all the time that Walker could almost vomit. And perhaps that reaction was something that Yelena would get all preachy about, and would encourage John to “open up” about, but fuck that. Walker was more than happy keeping those feelings to himself.
But it was only a matter of time.
OR
John Walker is completely fine. Until he isn’t.
