Summary
He wouldn’t have thought this possible before it actually happened – however it had happened. Gradually, it seemed. Bit by bit. A slow descent into madness. His feelings for Aymeric had always been ambiguous at best, and downright complicated at worst. Iphine had simply knocked him out like a battering-ram to the head.
Now it was this bizarre reality he lived in, a bit like a disbelieving dreamer who didn’t know he was in truth awake. His heart, belonging to two people. Two people who didn’t want it, not the way he did.
There was no weighing of scales here, no assigning importance or anything. He loved them both, it was as simple as that. Unconditionally. Mutely. In constant frustration.
