When he opened his eyes, there was a deer there.
A deer.
It was a fallow deer from the looks of it.
Slowly, he pushed himself back up the tree to try and create distance. The deer took his movement as a sign and slowly trotted around before sitting down, tucking its legs underneath its body and leaning into Merlin's side.

Summary
Morgana—Morgraine, Morgan, Morgana—can't take her eyes away from the swordsman. Knight. Swordsman. Ghost? Doesn't matter. It has her transfixed, and so he reaches out to touch her shoulder. "It'll be OK," he says, the words slurring. He removes his hand, leaving a bloodied print on her dress.
(There is a lump in his jacket pocket. A little glass bottle. It burns heavy against his chest.)
After a train crash, Merlin is transported back to the middle of the sleeping curse and sets about to fix his mistakes. It would help if he wasn't concussed, though.

Summary
Miquella had wanted a place where those shunned by the order could live, free from scornful looks. In a way, Mohg had created a version of that dream. It was abhorrent and disgusting but had the same foundations as his Haligtree.
Briefly, he wonders if this was what drew Anton to Mohgwyn, the promise of a better life. In another world, it could have been his Haligtree. He can almost picture it: bustling streets filled with those looked down upon by grace. He can see Anton amongst them.
Miquella emerges from his cocoon, blood-soaked and confused. The Tarnished Knight guarding him doesn't help matters (until he does)

There's a giant bruise on his neck when Spencer wakes up in the dead of night to grab water. He thought it was a trick of the light, at first - a shadow, or something - but it spanned the entire length of his neck.
It was fresh - incredibly so. There wasn't even a defined shape, like a hand or something. It was just there, like a bad omen.

Summary
When trying to transfer Shen Yuan from the real world to Proud Immortal Demon Way, the System runs into an error. Doing its best to be helpful, System tries to make a small, temporary adjustment that it hopes will get the story back on track.
System did not account for Shen Yuan himself.
Instead of making his way to Cang Qiong Mountain Sect and assuming the life of Shen Qingqiu, Shen Yuan made a beeline for the closest landmark instead: Taoren Mountain, said to be infested with monsters and haunted besides. The chain reaction that results changes everything.

“I heard that Monsieur Neuvillette went on a date with the Traveller.”
Furina spat out her tea.
Or: Aether noticed that Neuvillette seemed more stressed lately, and decided to take him around the city for a nice day off. Neuvillette misunderstands. Everyone misunderstands.
