Even though it was quiet and there were no eyes of judgement bearing down on him, his chest still tightened. Like a constrictive band was trying to squeeze all the air from his lungs. Tails tried breathing deeply, to fill his chest with each calculated, carefully timed breath, but the pressure remained. He pressed his forehead into his knees and drew himself into a small ball for comfort, curling up as tight as a hedgehog.
"I'm counting on you, Tails."
What a mistake that had been.
On the shuttle home from the Space Colony ARK, Tails reflects on what went wrong and what could've gone worse. Apparently he still had a long way to go before he could consider himself a hero.

Sighing, Aizawa turns to Todoroki. “Do you have anything to add right now?”
Todoroki looks up from his phone, and Izuku catches a glimpse of cat pictures when his friend lets his hand fall to his side.
“Yes.” Todoroki’s face is completely unreadable.
“I don’t think there were any villains.”
In which Izuku, Bakugou, and Todoroki all get caught up in a villain attack and somehow have completely different views on the events.

The sublevel the live specimens are kept on requires security screening conducted by a pair of steely-eyed armed guards and one final ID scan at the door beyond them. There’s a bit of a hiccup with Leon’s badge not reading properly on the scanner, but you were there when it was printed, and you’ve worked at the EPF long enough that when you vouch for him, the guards let it slide.
He really wouldn’t have made it this far if he didn’t belong here, after all.
