Summary
The Four Nations are on the bridge of collapse under vampiric reign. The hunter clans, famous for their powerful bending, are all but extinct as more cities fall and humans enslaved for the vampires’ meals and entertainment. Rumors spread of their god-like vampire messiah, the Phoenix King, planning an apocalyptic size ritual that would make his power absolute, dooming humanity forever.
Zuko, the sole survivor of the White Lotus clan, and his adoptive sister Toph Beifong hold their own against the growing army vampires invading their town. Katara, a waterbender slave turned freedom fighter, hunts down her enslaver to avenge her mother.

Summary
Left behind at the Misty Palms Oasis, Katara waits days for Aang, Sokka, and Toph to return. But when bounty hunters close in, her only chance at escape comes from the last people she ever thought she could trust: Zuko and Iroh.
Now traveling under false names, bound by a fake marriage, and with no room for mistakes, Katara finds herself on the road to Ba Sing Se. What begins as mutual distrust slowly unravels into eating side by side, sleeping even closer, and something far more dangerous: comfort. She thinks it will end once they reach the city, but in a place crowded with millions of refugees, and stuck in the Lower Ring, she doesn’t have much hope of finding the others. With no leads and nowhere else to go, she resolves to wait for her friends to find her.
But in their cramped apartment above the teashop, days turn into weeks, and Zuko and Katara begin to settle into something that almost feels like domestic bliss. It isn’t real. Or at least, it isn’t meant to be. But the longer they stay, the harder it becomes to remember where the act ends and something real begins.

Summary
It was a brilliant plan, all things considered.
On paper and in the eyes of the public, they were a charming if oddly mismatched couple who somehow found love despite their differences. A fairy tale come to life, sighed the more romantic members of Ba Sing Se society.
So it was almost a shame that Katara's courtship with Prince Zuko was ultimately nothing more than an act - otherwise, they might have been a perfect match, if not the perfect partners in crime.

Summary
I am writing the fic I wish I could read, this is my first time writing a fic and English is not my first language, it is not even my second language. I am not a fan of smut, so I doubt I'll write any. I just want this story to get out of my head only for my sake, even if no one reads it. I don't consider Korra canon, so I will not include it in the story (even the references to the first avatar and whatnot).
Pretty much canon compliant, with some slight divergence (I never did quite like that Aang unlocks his chakras by deus ex rock chiropractor). Also, I am a full on adult, so I hope I can write teens in a correct way, mostly so I can show how they mature and change while they age. I do intend to cover at least a decade, if possible.

An AU of the Avatar series with events inspired by the movie Troy and their versions of the Illiad. There will be differences, in both characters and events, with emphasis on key characters, battles, war, strategy and hopefully some the nuance within.
While serving in similar roles to the Illiad/Troy counterparts, The Avatar characters are very much themselves and not heavily influenced by the Illiad characterizations.
