Summary
Natasha stops by on a Tuesday, early enough in the morning that it would have been late by Steve’s old standards. Now, though, it takes him nearly three minutes just to limp to the door, yawning, and when he opens it he has to lean heavily on the doorframe.
“Hi,” Natasha says, over the beginnings of birdsong. She’s not alone. “Can we come in?”

Summary
Steve gets out of the hospital in two days, but just barely. “I’m fine,” he tells Sam, Nurse Eunjung and the phalanx of doctors assigned to make sure Captain America didn’t bleed out and die and get bad PR all over their nice clean hospital. “I have an advanced healing factor. It’s fine. See? I’m standing.”
“That is not standing,” Sam tells him.
“You’re bending the IV stand,” Nurse Eunjung adds pointedly. “Let go and sit down, they don’t grow on trees.”

Summary
Steve lives in Stark Tower and doesn't have much to do when he's not going after Hydra strongholds. He attends charity events to make Pepper happy. He goes hiking with Sam. He hangs out with Clint in Bed-Stuy and watches Dog Cops. Sometimes Tony gives him super alcohol in a sippy cup. Sometimes he sees Bucky out of the corner of his eye and wonders if it's real or if he's starting to lose his mind.
Alternately, the one with terrible jokes, a foot chase through the Lower East Side, and a tiny little robot named Shitcan.

Summary
"You're… not Hal," Steve says when the stranger looks at him. He's probably close to twenty-five, the same as Steve. Tall and broad shouldered (not the same as Steve), with a head full of loose, dark brown curls. He's not wearing any kind of sweater, just a short sleeved t-shirt that seems significantly tighter than is necessary. If Steve's shirt were that tight his ribs would be visible.
"Nope," the man says, leaning forward to rest one hand on the counter and hold the other out to Steve. "Bucky Barnes."
--
Steve has a comfortable, well-worn routine for his Thursday nights, until the old man who runs the laundromat breaks his hip.
Then Steve has Bucky instead.

Summary
A series of post-CA:TWS freeform stories with an emphasis on feels, the Avenger's as a loyal team unit, Sam as an awesome new addition, and a general disregard for pesky things that get in the way of my rabid need for H/C. (In other words: I needed therapy after that movie, and this is how I coped.)
Spoilers for the movie throughout, obviously. :)

Summary
Steve's not usually oblivious - far from it, in fact. But he does have his moments.
Like when he didn't realize that the team was actually serious when they talked about Mjolnir being a magical weapon that only Thor could lift.
(Inspired by a head-canon prompt, in light of the comics-canon fact that Steve is actually capable of wielding Mjolnir. Full text of prompt is in the beginning notes.)

They promised each other to the end of the line. But when they made that promise, they couldn't have known it. They couldn't have dreamt that their line might be infinite. They could never have imagined a world where that end might never come.
It's an obligation they never could have foreseen, Bucky knows that.
Bucky knows that it's wrong to hold anyone to that kind of vow.

Summary
A few years out of the ice, now, and Steve’s adjusting to the modern world. He likes Thai food. He hates discrimination and inequality and also the subway at rush hour. He’s learned to live his life, generally, and is fairly content with what he expects tomorrow will bring.
He does not, by any means, expect James Buchanan Barnes.
Because James Buchanan Barnes is an Army Major sitting in Tony’s lab for a fitting of a Stark prosthetics prototype, and he is the most beautiful man, no: the most beautiful human being Steve has ever seen. And suddenly, Steve has to square with falling in love, hard and fast and all-consuming, with a person who fits into Steve’s life, who curls around Steve’s soul like he was made for it, and who might break Steve’s heart without ever meaning to, just because he’s a normal, precious, mortal man—and the serum quite likely made Steve something else.
Or: Steve Rogers never thought he’d live past 25. Now, he has to make peace with quite possibly living a hell of a lot longer, and losing the love of his life in the process.
