Summary
The saga in which four trolls, two humans, and a mayor voyage through space on a meteor, and two humans, two sprites who were once human, and numerous NPCs voyage through the yellow yard, all journeying towards the new session. During the course of this trip there are numerous deaths and revivals of the god tier humans, relationships between Dave and Terezi, and Karkat and Gamzee both fall apart. Meanwhile, a new moirallegience emerges between Dave and Karkat, the latter of whom spends almost a year preventing the human from realising this relationship exists. Meanwhile, Kanaya and Rose's relationship moves forward as Kanaya discovers that human versions of love sometimes break troll quadrants. There is also fear, in Gamzee, who remains hidden in the air vents but appears every few perigees to wreak havoc on the meteor. Numerous films are watched and cultures shared, bringing the trolls and humans closer together in ways that are not dissimilar to the human emotion known as friendship. Throughout all of this, Can Town experiences no major disruptions other than the regularly scheduled scalemate attacks. But despite all of these shenanigans over the course of one and a half sweeps, the Mayor remains a universal constant.

Sollux shook his head and looked back in his wallet before pulling out the remaining bills. "Can I bring you the rest tomorrow?"
The bartender gave him a hard look and opened his mouth to say something Sollux knew he wouldn't like, but before the words could escape his mouth, the blond was back, this time with an arm slung confidently over Sollux's shoulders."On me," he said smoothly, tossing a ten on the bar to go with the rest of the bills. "Come on then," he said with a slick smile, pulling Sollux to his feet and toward the stairway his friends were already climbing. Sollux felt the anxiety in his chest again, but with little regard to his own safety, found himself following the blond anyway.

Down on his luck, Sollux finds some solace with a group of misfits whose main concern is doing good, even when it means breaking the rules sometimes.

Virgil is floating, always floating somewhere in the sea he was dumped into a long time ago. He's surviving of course, even as waves beat against him. But a wave that he wasn't expecting turns up in the seat opposite him during roll call and he's left to wonder if this is a wave that'll leave him breathless and drowning again or one that can help him back onto land.
