At night, he seeks to find comfort. Then she is there, attempting to provide that for him or so he thinks. She is not real, but yet she is. He sees her every night, how can she not be?
Solas' mind drifts on these thoughts back and forth, the rational part of his mind trying to hold on in his slow descent into madness, telling him that tales of merfolk are just that; fabricated tales. But he sees her at night, how utterly real she appears to be and how she sings and speaks his name. He imagines taking her webbed fingers into his mouth, tasting the essence of her cunt upon them and swears then that the flavor is dancing upon his tongue, the salt of the sea lingering.

I don’t have a choice, she reminded herself, her eyes glued to the temple Guardian standing proudly next to the main entrance.
This was a no-return point, if she crossed these doors, she wouldn’t be able to take it back and she might possibly destroy the life of the one other person she held dearer than her own life…other than that of the vulnerable being in her arms. She tightened her hold. It was a risk she couldn’t avoid anymore. They were running out of time and she couldn’t do this on her own, not anymore.
“Excuse me?” she addressed the closest Jedi Guardian she approached. She pretended not to be intimated by the uniform and before she could change her mind the next words were out of her mouth.
“Would you be so kind as to tell me where I could find Jedi Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi?”

The one-year mission on Mandalore during Obi-Wan's padawan years had an unforeseen consequence. They haven't seen each other in three years - but Korkie is sick; Obi-Wan might be the only one able to save him anymore and Satine travels to the Jedi temple.
