Dirk can’t remember ever seeing Todd dance before. Dirk dances all the time – to the car stereo, to adverts on the TV, to piped music in stores – but the closest he’s ever seen Todd get is tapping his fingers along to a particularly catchy bassline. But now he’s moving to the beat, jumping up and down, grabbing Dirk’s hands. And Dirk almost passes out because he can’t actually remember how many times he’s wished that Todd would hold his hand.
So, all in all, it’s a really bad moment for his bladder to twinge and remind him that he’s drank nearly a litre of liquid since he arrived at the bar. Not to mention that cup of tea before they left the apartment. But Todd’s twining their fingers together and grinning from ear to ear and he can’t take a bathroom break now. Not now.
Todd takes Dirk out for the night. Dirk underestimates how much his bladder can hold.

He supposes it's a fair assumption, because that's how it goes with most alchemists; scientific minds don't usually like the wishy-washy nature of miracles and faith and unseen beings. They believe in atoms and molecules and the ever-elusive natural providence.
But Ed does believe in a higher power; he's met it, and its name is equivalent exchange. Nothing wishy-washy about that.

Vash is tough, but he’s not invincible. He makes mistakes, and a fair amount of them, and one day one of those is going to get him killed. Beyond that, hearing Vash say all that self-sacrificial bullshit really pisses Wolfwood off. Of course he’s not going to leave him to it alone.
“Let’s just get it over with,” Wolfwood grumbles, and hefts the Punisher over his shoulder.
They’re handed a pair of sick masks of their own, then led by the female guard through the gates. She takes them to the nearest building, which is in the best shape of the bunch. The inside smells overwhelmingly sterile, like rubbing alcohol and laundry detergent, and the walls are white, the tile floor shiny. It’s exactly like a hospital. She takes them down a corridor and around a corner, then into an office, where a man in a lab coat is seated behind a desk.
“We have two travellers here to get the shot,” the guard says.
The shot. Wolfwood blinks.

Vash doesn’t respond right away. Wolfwood hears the rustling of fabric as he drops into a crouch at Wolfwood’s side, and reluctantly turns his head to the side, squinting at Vash through sticky lashes. He’s still not wearing his jacket or glasses, clad only in the black turtleneck and pants he’d slept in. His prosthetic seems to be in better shape, at least; he’s curled it around his elbow and braced his arms against his knees, squatting no more than six inches away from Wolfwood, his brow creased with worry.
That is a look that Vash would give any pathetic snivelling person on this earth, but Wolfwood can only take it so long before he is overcome—with greedy want, for Vash to move just a little bit closer, draw him in, cradle him against his chest and tell him everything will be okay.
Wolfwood closes his eyes and breathes. He can’t remember the last time someone did that.

With Vash awake and the orphanage momentarily safe, Wolfwood is forced to cope with the loss of his closest friend.

Mori would sense something was wrong somehow and then come and pick up Dazai personally, and then once they were trapped in the car Dazai wouldn’t be able to hold it together and then Mori would be upset and then Dazai would be punished and-

Dazai looked up and realized Chuuya had left the door open for him.

It's been some time since Chuuya, Dazai and the others had successfully defeated Shibusawa. After that event, Dazai and Chuuya seemingly have gotten closer, though there is still some tension surrounding them considering the fact that they are in opposing organizations (and the fact that neither have apologized for anything). So when Chuuya comes home after a long day to find his apartment door unlocked, he realizes that his ex-partner has returned to old habits. But in the past he would usually be splayed across the redhead's couch, lounging about as if the place were his..
When Chuuya storms in and the brunette is nowhere to be seen, he follows the sound of sniffling to his room. What he sees when he walks in makes his heart drop.

Summary
The first times it happened, Chuuya had already sworn his life away to the mafia.
He couldn’t actually remember the first incident, only recalling that sometimes - after tiresome missions, in the privacy of his own room - a kind of fuzziness started clouding his mind.
He did his best to hide himself away during that time, not coming out of his room and forgoing meals, even though he despised the feeling of hunger, always waking unpleasant memories. Only occasionally, he snuck into the kitchen or the living room to get something if it got bad, all the while avoiding Dazai like the plague.
But of course, nothing escapes Dazai’s keen eye for long.
Or; Chuuya literally never even had a sliver of a childhood, so I’m going to fix that and give him some comfort. That’s it.
Also, Dazai is not a complete ass in this, which may be out of character, but I needed him to be at least some kind of responsible caretaker for this. Please forgive me.
