So very sickly sweet. Absolute summer vibes. I liked their chemistry here and Draco’s friendship starting with Hermione (he would love Hermione, I’m sure of it).
The hair tie bit had me kicking:
“He looks at Potter’s messy bun again, the pink and silver peaking through his black curls, and can’t help but smile. Potter looks up and catches him staring, and just before Draco can avert his eyes, he sees Potter’s lips start to curve into a smile, too.”

I really enjoyed this - what’s not to love about a well-written, in character, auror partners fic? Draco is so mean and perfect. Harry is lovely and long-suffering as per. Also these quotes?! Made me stop and highlight:
“He was suddenly in possession of a dense little nugget of certainty. It recalled, of all farflung things, the Philosopher’s Stone dropping into his pocket. What a bizarre and wonderful life Harry had. He was about to make it more bizarre and more wonderful.”
AND THE TENSION
“Finally he smiled meanly. “You’re not as brave as you used to be.” Malfoy meant to get the last word. He meant to leave now. But Harry had been provoked, and now he had been dared. Malfoy would be made to learn about playing with him. “What the fuck is this, Malfoy? You got us drunk so it wouldn’t be anyone’s fault?” His heart hammering, he spat it out. “I don’t want you drunk.” “I don’t want you at all,” Malfoy said. Too quickly and too coldly. Lie. “Then off you go.” Harry returned his mean smile. “Have fun.” And Harry turned away and dismissed him.”

Oh now this - this I loved. I read it slowly (had to) and sometimes that means I can lose interest in a fic this long but I didn’t at all with this story. The most clever use of the amnesia trope (I think my favorite). The heartbreak of these two finding themselves (or Harry specifically) thrust back to a time when they didn’t like each other… I sometimes found myself wishing desperately that this story of theirs was told chronologically, but I think the angst of clawing back those memories with Harry added to the impact of this fic. And the epilogue! I believe this author doesn’t generally write Drarry, but they slayed the house boots down with this one.

I enjoyed this! I love / have missed a journey fic such as this. I was intrigued by the point of canon divergence. Harry and Draco coming together to cooperate is so great when done well. Author did a great job with building tension as the story progressed and the baddies were coming!

The kind of fanfiction that makes you forget you’re reading a fanfiction and not a published book. I didn’t know Scorpius / James was on my 2024 bingo card but I’m glad it was. This was gorgeous and devastating in equal measures. I really like how the relationship between fathers and their sons was explored. I was still somewhat rooting for Harry and Draco despite knowing it was an impossibility! I’ll think of these characters often.

I ran to this fic as soon as I saw Faithwood had a new fic. This was drarry lottery and we all won. Adored this fic, couldn’t put it down and was reading far too late in the night. I was almost suffocated by the plot as Harry’s pain increased - completely sped read the ending. The writing was superb (as per). Hope we get more!

Wow. Ouch. This was beautiful and more angst-y than anything I’ve read in a while. I was absolutely hooked from the ring’s appearance and could barely put this down. These concepts were suffocating but the aspects about this relationship it allowed us to explore were expertly done.

What a pleasant surprise! I was intimidated by the length and the time travel for a long time but so glad I finally threw myself in. This is a lovely fic - fantastic writing, super unique plot and excellent characterization. Dealing with some heavy topics but manages to be some of the best banter between Harry and Draco. Random line but I’ve never clocked/ thought about both Harry and Draco being only children and this made the laugh. Leading characters really jumped off the page as whole people and felt new - which is fabulous this many years of reading in. Time travel hurts my brain as always - but also enjoyed that discussion. Lovely, fully developed adventure fic.
