“S’pose I should get out of your hair for what’s left of the night,” Crowley muttered into the rim of his wine glass, hesitant to end their time together with a final sip.
Years worth of separation had gone unspoken the entire evening, but perhaps that was for the best. Crowley had no intention of bringing it up. It seemed Aziraphale didn’t either.
“Not before I tend to those burns,” Aziraphale said. “I smelled the blood in the car, Crowley. Half a miracle isn’t going to fix holy damage, if a miracle would heal it at all. I’m afraid you’ll have to do this one the human way. Unless, you…well, unless you’ll let me heal them.”

Aziraphale knew the tension would come to a boiling point someday. Winn was a teenager with Crowley as a parent. An unstoppable force meeting one of the universe’s oldest immovable objects.
Despite having inherited Crowley’s tendency to need space and time to think alone, Winn had still always been very close with his parents. He’d been raised on “you know you can always talk to us” and “there is never shame in feeling the way you feel.” He had often spent time with them just for the sake of it, knowing they enjoyed his company just as much as he enjoyed theirs, a rare trait in a 15 year old. They had begun to think maybe the snark and petulant reluctance to help with chores the human way would be the worst of it.
Then came Crowley’s positive pregnancy test.

Should any of Noah's family ever happen to see a child running about the Ark despite none of Noah’s sons' wives having borne children yet, the little ones would appear only as playful little mice that had been products of multiplication from the original two, escaped from their quarters and not worth the hassle of catching.
After all, they were meant to be on the Ark for quite some time. It was only natural some of the creatures aboard would procreate in such a period.
Crawley never expected to be included in that likelihood.
