When a substitute teacher arrives at Midtown Tech, Peter begins falling apart but nobody understands why.
Not at first.
But as Peter's friends watch him become more fearful, more exhausted, and more desperate to avoid one particular teacher, they realize something is very wrong.
Something happened long before Peter became Spider-Man.
And whatever Peter is running from has finally caught up with him.
This is a continuation from my fic called "A Working Theory about Peter Parker". Although this is a continuation, you don't have to read that fic if you don't want to but I do have some small references to that in the story.

Pepper PottsNow, this was great for Peter Parker. More than great! It meant that Peter would have something to put on his college applications, and potentially a letter of recommendation, and it meant he would have an actual challenge for once in his life.
This development, however, was not great for Spider-man. Spider-man was being hunted down by the Avengers, which Mr. Stark happened to be a part of. And Peter Parker happened to be Spider-man.
OR: Peter Parker is interining at Stark industries. The spider that bit Peter had a few more effects than it does in canon, including but not limited to: fangs, way worse instincts, and an annoyingly sentient spidey sense

He knows they’re both in the wrong after how, well, everything went, from the ferry to the test-that-wasn’t-a-test. But that doesn’t mean he was willing to break the quiet.He also knows he needs help—bad. So instead of Iron Man, he finds (falls into, really) something better.

Moon Knight kept his hand on Daredevil's chest as Deadpool made a sharp turn. The Devil hadn't muttered a word this entire time, but the heartbeat hitting Moon Knight’s fingertips reassured him.
"Stop at the tallest building. It's my apartment." Marc instructed.
Deadpool scoffed, "Hey— we are so not at that stage yet. Take me out to dinner first, sheesh."
"Ignore him." Spider-Man pleaded.
Deadpool messily parked outside of the building, the front of the vehicle hitting the steps that raised to the door. Matt rasped in discomfort, the sudden and harsh movement jostling him more than the turns.
Wade whipped his head back to look at Daredevil, a sheepish smile blooming across his face. "Whoops."
