Jason’s plan was simple. Get to the Wayne Manor, drop Damian to Alfred’s capable hands, and haul ass anywhere else (bonus: try not to die by angry assassins). With his plans crashed and no home to come back to, there wasn’t anything else he could do.

Jason’s first mistake was hacking the Bats’ secret comm channel.
Although could it really be called hacking when they’d never bothered to change their frequency since his Robin days? All he’d had to do was log on, and boom – instant access to the best ways to avoid meddlesome Bats while he got shit done. And since his end was carefully muted, they wouldn’t even know anyone was listening.
His second mistake was thinking he could listen without getting sucked back into their drama.
Jason came back to Gotham with two intentions: one – protect Crime Alley and do it right this time. And two – avoid the Bats. Neither of these were proving as simple as he’d hoped.

Dick liked to think he had a pretty good handle on the whole ‘big brother’ thing by now, even if Tim still saw sleep as optional and Damian still got a little stabby when a hug lasted too long.
But then Damian’s other big brother comes to town, mysterious and red-helmeted and oddly familiar, and seems to want nothing to do with the Bats sans Damian. Damian is strangely close-lipped about his other brother's past, but Dick is determined to find out more about the Red Hood - he could always use more little brothers, anyway!

Because he’d needed to look clean and presentable to get into the public libraries. Because they wouldn’t have let a dirty homeless kid touch the books.

And Talia had made that happen for him.

Summary
Tim helped five heroes escape from Lex Luthor’s grasp not long ago, and he is still facing the consequences for it. He does not expect to be saved, he does not expect anything more to come from the disastrous month he spent with Kon, Bart, Dick, Kaldur, and M’gann. But suddenly Luthor is shipping him off, letting him out for the first time in more than seven years. Tim has no idea what is going on, but he does know that he can’t afford to focus on the sickening hope stirring in his gut. He has a job to do, and that’s all that matters.
Kon was at his wit’s end when Bart came up with a plan. He finally has a chance to save Tim, to get him out of Cadmus after all this time. He just needs to keep him save from Luthor’s schemes while Tim does his work, and the second it is over, Kon is taking him away from Luthor forever. Saving Tim is all that he cares about, no matter what complications Luthor tries to throw at him.

It is not until he is kidnapped, alongside Bart, Dick, Kaldur, and M’gann, that he sees Tim again, for the first time in six years, and remembers his first friend completely. Now, trapped by Luthor, the five realize that Tim has been held prisoner since he was a child, forced to use his incredible intelligence for whatever Luthor sees fit. Kon is desperate to protect the person he cares about so much, Bart is quickly forming a new friendship, and Dick can not shake the familiarity of the young genius. If he moves his head up a bit he can catch a glance of the survivors. They’re stuck inside, but the door won’t hold for long, it never does. And it would be fantastic if the zombies would just break down the door already and eat them so that Tommy could go on with his day, but he’s never been that lucky.
And nobody this incompetent has survived so long.
That’s why Tommy isn’t surprised when they open the door and come out blasting, armed and angry and clinging to life. The zombies never stood a chance, which would look totally cool and action movie-esque if Tommy wasn’t a zombie himself.

The wishing well is an old tale that allows people to make wishes in exchange for a little bit of gold. People come and go with their chips and coins and everything in between, asking for riches, land, love, power. They come with elegant clothes and fancy jewelry and they still somehow manage to want for more.
Tommy doesn’t understand how that’s possible.
If he had those fancy, soft outfits instead of the itchy, cold, torn rags he has, he would never need more to wear. If he could go home to a family and eat warm food and drink clean water every day he doesn’t think he could ever want for anything else.
