Summary
Eternity is not forever. A fact that Apo and Pyro both find out for themselves as they meet tragic but inevitable ends. After three thousand years of existence, it's expected that they're at last allowed to rest. When they both wake up back in Oakhurst when it all started they're alarmed. Unaware of each other's knowledge, they both make their decision about how to get out, ending up on opposite sides of a war that they don't know they're starting.
Both jaded from such a long life, and having to go back to the root of all their problems, the two of them must navigate the complicated mess of interpersonal relationships and politics that Oakhurst promises with the knowledge of what's to come.

Jason stares at the teen on his doorstep. He’s tall, for one, towering over Jason with broad shoulders balanced on top of a lean physique. He’s ill-dressed for the cold, coat nowhere to be seen. Instead, he sports a white turtleneck layered under a jean jacket and a scarf.
His baggy jeans wear a different wash to the jacket, and Jason feels himself judging the amount of distress on them. No one actually wears real shredding like that unless they buy them that distressed.

Snorkel Town is an odd place.
When Ilya first told Shane that this place was called Snorkel Town, Shane was sure that Ilya was kidding. He thought, maybe, Ilya had forgotten the actual name and decided to make something up, since the town is known for its snorkelling exhibition.
That’s a very him thing to do.
But nope.
They arrive at the city line - as they’re heading to the address of the snorkeling lessons building, of course - and, on a very obnoxiously large, neon green sign reads, in neon pink, ”Welcome to Snorkel Town! Where each snorkel is hand crafted with care!”
The hand crafted snorkel part is in a much smaller font than the welcoming.
The sign is a giant snorkel.
It’s a little bit unsettling.

OR, Shane and Ilya decide to book a couples snorkeling session. Things go wrong. Everything turns out fine.
