Ichigo was pointing a finger at him. “And don’t sign up just to troll people. That’ll get you banned before you have a chance for five profiles and won’t count.”
Kisuke grinned. “Why, Kurosaki-kun, one would think you didn’t trust me.”
Ichigo coaxed the butterfly onto his finger and studied it. “Didn’t know you, you mean. Very different. I do wonder how they do this,” he mused, shaking his head slightly.
Kisuke refused to look at the stupid things. “Probably via toxic inks or dyes.”
“You hope,” Ichigo chuckled. “They’re pretty, Urahara, you can’t deny that.”
“I certainly can. They’re tacky.”
“You are determined to hate people being happy, aren’t you?” Ichigo grinned, turning his hand in a well-known ‘take off now’ gesture, the butterfly with its red hearts where eyespots would be on normal butterflies flittering away as if it wasn’t an abomination against taste.

“I see.” she said, voice slightly annoyed, “Well, me and a few others are hoping to join the Fifth.” Kaga almost choked on the water she was drinking, but Nakamura kept going, unbothered, “I went to one of Captain Aizen’s classes and he’s so kind! I bet he’s a wonderful captain. I’ve only heard good things about him.”
Yeah, because he killed those who talked shit about him. “Sounds interesting."
(Being reborn in a manga was bad enough. Staying away from the plot shouldn't have been hard, but it seemed like fate - or the Soul King, who knows at this point - had other plans.)

Summary
A series of stories set in my 'MNA verse,' with "Mono no Aware" being the main fic, plus the occasional one-shot that takes place in the same verse, but may have been cut in the editing process. The focus of this verse is heavily on Kisuke and Yoruichi, as it is a detailed account of their past pre-series (including the 100 years spent in Karakura as exiles), and will also feature the Visored quite often.
Also worth noting that I consider my other multi-chapter story "The Elysian Fallacy" the unofficial sequel to MNA, in the sense that they belong in the same 'verse.' TEF is a fix-it fic, taking place post-686 and meant to address all the plot points left unanswered in the series (canon-compliant until 684, becomes AU after Yhwach's defeat, but follows the main structure outlined in 685/686)
