Nagisa scrubs the floor, his eyes locked on the boards. The sponge is rough, and his hands hurt. He’s already cleaned all of the cabinets, drawers, and other floors. He’s starting to get blisters, and he has no idea how he’s going to hold his pencil tomorrow, much less a knife or gun. But his mother was angry that he wasn’t home in time to make dinner, because that’s what her daughter would have done if she had one. And Nagisa didn’t fight back, didn’t complain. He started scrubbing, glad for the single solace he has in the fact that she didn’t make him take his hair down before he started. She’s decompressing in her room, and Nagisa hopes she’ll be in a better mood when she comes back.
Once he’s finally done, he washes his hands, wincing at the sting. One of the blisters starts to bleed a little, so he heads to the bathroom to clean it up. He runs that finger under water while he reaches under the bathroom sink for band aids. Then Nagisa can hear footsteps on the stairs. So he hastily throws the band aid on, and jogs back out of the bathroom. His mothers stands in front of the spotless kitchen, smiling. That is until she sees Nagisa, then her face falls.

“I doubt you could make it worse if you tried anyway,” Ennoshita said. He pointed toward the corner Kageyama was in. It was as if a dark cloud had formed around Kageyama. His eyes were locked on those who had started warming up. Hinata wasn’t sure how much of the look in his eyes was rage and how much was sadness, but it was obvious Kageyama was less than thrilled about the scenario he was in.
Well, seeing Kageyama like that certainly made his chest ache. Not that the rage was all that different from how he normally acted, though. But getting Kageyama depressed was definitely a feat. Though, Hinata guessed this is basically his worst nightmare come true. He could understand how Kageyama felt.
Hinata turned on his heel and walked toward Kageyama. There wasn’t a single thing that he planned to say. He wasn’t good at planning. He would just wing it, like always.
Or, Kageyama gets a concussion and is forced to sit out. The worst case scenario manages to happen to him.

A confused frown seemed to be permanently branded onto his face, mixed with a squint that screamed of a headache. No wonder, Eddie mused, getting a closer look at his bruises. He was probably concussed, should have stayed in bed. So naturally that it seemed like nothing else could have happened at that moment, the two reached out for one another and tangled their fingers together. Eerie, Eddie thought with a shudder, but also strangely endearing.
“Not much else to do around here,” he answered her statement somewhat belatedly with a shrug of his shoulder.
