    Bryan's horse was abruptly taken, leaving him scrambling to find and bring him back home, leaving his farm in his wake as he sprints to the new sheriff's office. When he finds him, Geoffery almost kills the new sheriff, leaving him to calm him down with expert ease and timing before he gets another's blood on his hands, he ends up leaving, afraid of prying eyes who might follow him home.

    Vendi finds him fascinating, the talk of town telling him about a man who manages a 3-acre farm at the edge of the town, keeping to himself and his animals, but whispers of murders in other towns lead him to suspect the man of many things, hiding fugitives and killing people who find out. He fights his growing fascination and feelings as he investigates him, but nothing comes up in his hands as he escalates to break a few laws despite his pristine reputation. Angry, and frustrated that nothing is going his way and everything is meticulously out of reach, he brings in Ivy.

    His spy, and pusedo daughter to try to shimmy her way into the routine of the farm as a volunteer for the farm to bring any dark news to the light. In doing this, he puts targets on his back.
