One terribly thought out Brainstorm/Perceptor experiment later and they pull the scavengers in to discover the one and only Optimus Prime. Except, he isn't their one and only, he's some other dimensions one and only Optimus Prime, and he isn't thrilled to be here.
Optimus Prime is very, very tired.

Frenzy and Rumble shifted nervously but didn’t answer.
They didn’t have to, because Soundwave heard a tell-tale giggle.
Right. Above. Him.
Spark sinking with dread, Soundwave slowly looked up. And up. And up. And stared, long and hard.
“Query,” he asked, deceptively calm. “Why is Trailbreaker on the ceiling?”
Or, the Autobots are still shrunk, and the Decepticons have become their de-facto babysitters. Unfortunately for Soundwave, he's one of the only ones who is actually competent at taking care of a Sparkling, and the only officer running himself ragged keeping the ship afloat (seriously; there was a leak in the lower levels).
Soundwave: needs a vacation.

Optimus smiled softly looking down at the bot who, earlier, was trying to attack him over this "spider-lady." Grimlock wasn't craving her... he just wanted companionship, someone to show him affection and attention. Praise him when he's good.
"Hey, Grimlock... why don't I make visits here more often huh? For you and your whole Dino-crew." The smaller bot suggested.
The T-rex huffed, puffs of smoke blowing from his nostrils. Optimus didn't blame him, he hadn't exactly been nice to Grimlock or any of the other Dinobots before this. And yet Grimlock opened his optics slightly, he glanced up at Optimus, it looked like he was contemplating.
"Grimlock will allow puny Autobot to visit."
