With those final words, the green and gold Triple-changer in question ended his farewell message to his former colleagues, and waved goodbye to his dear and closest friend Verity one last time. Then, with a sad, hopeful smile and a salute, he stepped into Mesothulas’ Time Maze and into the unknown.
But something was... off.
He was supposed to go back in time and stop the war, but it seems that fate had other plans for him. Now, trapped in a backwards universe, facing twisted, villainous reflections of his old allies, will Springer be able to work with strange versions of his enemies to stand against a power-mad lunatic and find a way home, or will they all be consumed by a looming, crushing darkness that seeks total annihilation of the universe itself?

“Right, so we have three rooms, two doubles and a single. We’ll pull lots.” Krok announced to the group.
At the time, Fulcrum hadn’t thought much of the single, he was used to being squished with Misfire anyway. It would be a little awkward if it was Krok or Crankcase, but he’d live. Spinister and Grimlock would surely be exempt and have their own berth due to their size.
“I win!”
Spinster dumbly cheered, waving his stick as Fulcrum deadpanned with his matching lot. It would be his luck that both him and Spinister pulled the single.It wasn’t that Fulcrum hated Spinister’s company, by now he was used to the medic hovering behind him, but his relationship with Spinister was…unexplored to say the least...
Or alternatively, Spincrum hang out and have to share a couples suite. Spinister exercises his medical license privileges on Fulcrum as well.

When an announcement of imminent danger aboard the Lost Light interrupts Ratchet’s peaceful morning energon, he receives a frantic comm from Drift. Worried that his conjunx will instantly put himself in harm’s way, Drift insists that Ratchet keep his polished quartz crystal with him for protection.
Although Ratchet reluctantly takes the crystal to appease Drift, he has no idea how effective it will be!
If you don't believe in the protective powers of crystals, you've never thrown one hard enough!!

While foraging for supplies in a recently abandoned battlefield, the Scavengers make a shocking discovery: they find a survivor! Misfire pulls a very damaged, very angry Deadlock from the rubble. Still in denial about the loss of his squad, Krok is determined to save the wounded bot, no matter how much he growls at them.
The first several chapters are basically providing the backstory for their happy reunion on the Lost Light, many years later!
