King Sparda V "The Golden" has reached the mark of 50 years of peace within his kingdom. He begins the tiresome task of succession. Of his eldest brooding son, Prince Vergil "The Dark Slayer" or to some others "The Storm" as his heir apparent, with the followed up succession of his son Prince Nero. Following from behind in the succession law is the ever-lustrous headache and younger twin brother Prince Dante himself "The Red Hunter" or too many "The Rogue Prince". The kingdom is teetering at the edge of warfare with Agosbus, the famous Merchant Republic, with the delegates fleeing to the side of the independent Kingdom of Fortuna, with their current monarchs supported by their church figurehead and grandfather, The Holy Septor Sanctus IV, and his grandchildren King Credo and Princess Kyrie. Sparda and his three elder sisters and their flock of children come vying for power with the figureheads of the strength of the mighty Dragon Lords and their ever-deadly games.
In the far east warring empires of the mighty Empire of Mallet and the Empire of Destuaberg-Ashium going for blows and conquest.
