He thought that getting into a forced marriage wouldn't be too bad, but how wrong he really was.. He got married to a mafia boss, who was very rich, but his own husband didn't even notice him. No one in the huge house did. What would Lance do when he loves someone that doesn't even love him back?

As Lance's sense of self begins to disappear, the binding grows stronger, consuming his personality and replacing it with an overwhelming desire to please Keith.
Can an ancient ritual of emotional understanding be reversed before Lance loses himself completely? Or will the crystal's misused magic consume him entirely?
( This was all inspired by the book Sorcery and Small Magics by Maiga Doocy! I read that book and was immediately hooked! The dynamic reminded me so much of Lance and Keith with the rivalry I NEEDED to write a fic with this concept inspired by it)

He remembered receiving his knife- his dad had lectured him for an hour straight about how he is absolutely not allowed to use the knife to hurt anyone under any circumstances, unless someone is trying to kidnap or kill him and his dad wasn’t there. Even without the only picture he still had of him and his father, he could easily picture his dad’s fond smile whenever he looked at him.
Something he remembered very vividly was when his dad went to work on Keith’s birthday and never came home.”

Keith wakes up with chains wrapped around his wrist and ankles. Something is on his face, but it takes a minute to figure out what it is, but when he does, he feels like his heart stops. It’s a muzzle strapped to his face, the edges cutting into his skin. He’s been stripped down to the bottom half of his flight suit, his armor completely gone.
He’s alone in the dark, but he can hear someone talking in the distance, and it sounds like it’s through a door. Keith feels like he can barely breathe as the muzzle sits heavily on his face. Tears prick his eyes. Eventually the door opens, flooding the room with light. Keith flinches back, the tears finally falling down his face from how tightly he closes his eyes.

Keith crashed in the wrong place at an absolutely wrong time.
Keith barely gets a second to get a knee up before two more vines shoot out from the shrubs and wrap tightly around his legs. Slightly panicked, Keith twists around the slice at those as well, but more emerge from the plant with each one wrapping around his wrists. The one wrapped around his left wrist curls up and through his fingers, wedging them off of his bayard's handle. His bayard hits the ground with a soft thud and fizzles back into its regular form as the vines yank Keith down onto his side.

Keith goes out in a violent way. Coming back, he is forced be a grim reaper, helping people transition into the afterlife while somehow maintaining his own miserable existence. But there are unseen forces that threaten him at every turn. And he can't come out unscathed forever.
Lance is destined for greatness. At least, that's what Allura tells him. Under her guidance, he wants to use alchemy and help souls into the next life just like she does. She always makes it seem like the highest honor a person can have. He's just not sure he's up to the task.

Closing his eyes, Keith tries to dig up the fading links he had with either lion, reaching for them and their warmth and safety. He was never sure how far a lion could reach their paladin, but for all he knew, they could be nearby. Would they still sense him despite not being their paladin anymore?
Thirty minutes have passed and he felt… nothing. Either they're too far, or he's severed the link between them for good. He has eleven hours of oxygen left.
