Charon gave her a look that spoke volumes, despite his silence. She knew she’d fucked up by not buying a change of clothes.
“If I’d been smart, I would’ve bought some from Moira in Megaton, but—“ She shrugs, “Was gonna buy some in Underworld, then I scraped every cap I had together to buy this piece of paper from Az… whatever his stupid name was.” Ana turned her attention back to her socks, giving one final fruitless attempt to wring them out.
“Those caps were returned to you,” Charon’s dry retort pulled Ana’s attention back up to him.
Her tone shifted, more mocking. Maybe even playful. She had a lopsided grin on her face as she replied, “Yeah, covered in his blood! Besides we bailed out of there so fast I forgot. Your fault.”
Inexperienced, do-gooder Ana escapes Vault 101 with a stolen pistol, an expired packet of Cheezy Poofs, and absolutely no plan. She's too nice, too trusting, and too excitable... especially for the ghoul whose contract ends up in her hands.
