The plot vaguely follows the events of the IRL thirty years war occuring between 1618 and 1648 as Sweden, a relatively normal guy in college? (I dunno I'm not American) bumps into insanely swagalicious non binary France and immediately develops a massive crush on the enby cutie. Together with his "best" friend and Ex Denmark (and his BF Norway) (They are also femboys BTW) Sweden tries to get some of that sweet NB ass (in a non sexual way ofc). This would however prove to be a more massive feat than Sweden could ever imagine, as he is way to much of a shy and anxious little bitch to get anywhere with France, despite France's obvious interest in him. Other highlights include Austria being thrown out of a window for historical accuracy.
This work is proof of my continuously declining mental state. Have fun~~

The European Union—once known as the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC)—held a history not many dared to discuss. Before its formation as a beacon of unity, EU had ties to a darker past, once being entangled with military forces linked to the Third Reich. But it was never by choice.
Her grandfather was none other than the Third Reich himself, while her father was Germany and her mother, France. At that time, Germany had yet to reach the age of majority; he was still a minor, barely comprehending what it meant to be a parent. His own father, the Third Reich, never bothered to teach him. EU was conceived due to a treaty, a political construct rather than a child of love. France had little concern beyond the economic benefits and resources she could extract. Yet, despite his lack of experience, Germany tried his best to be a father, fumbling through the responsibilities he had never been taught. West and East Germany often split up, tackling different tasks so that at least one of them could watch over ESCE while the other worked.
(Also I'm not certain about Genders here.None of this is accurate it's a Historical fiction after all at the said story)

It is hard to encapsulate the entirety of 1450-1814 into a single term or turn of phrase, however. A long stretch of history that has formed a nation into who she is today, for better or for worse. A tumultuous union of two best friends who brave the changing tides of Europe hand in hand through the centuries.

Control based upon fear does not last forever. When one falls upon hard times, control slips from their fingers, and their pet monster may just do the right thing for the very first time upon the urging of the only country to properly understand his circumstances. For he is in the same situation, even if it isn't yet obvious.
He had always been destined to fall, though perhaps, that might not be so literal. Maybe, just maybe, the void had other plans for him instead of just letting him die after twelve years of existence.
Countries are not supposed to keep on living with no people, no land and no leaders, and yet this monster does, and in exchange for the physical, his mind is clear. For the first time ever, he can properly understand all that is happening around him from his place in that cell.
Perhaps this will be a good thing, with a new kind of war on the horizon. A very, very cold one.((Completely skippable if you are uncomfortable with any of the themes already discussed in the previous 'chapters'! This whole thing is only loosely connected, so if you know a bit about history you should be fine just reading only certain works))
