Summary
“God,” Miranda rasps. “I thought I would hate you. I thought you’d be a little goody two-shoes. I thought you’d be an insufferable stuck-up Alliance bootlicker.”
Shepard laughs lightheartedly. “You’re the insufferable stuck-up one, Miranda. Good thing I like that about you.”Story begins during canon ME2, shortly after Miranda's loyalty mission but before the Omega-4 Relay, with some minor divergences because I don't love everything about the canon romance.

Summary
Shepard acts out Kaidan’s dressing room fantasy at the end of the galaxy.
“What do you want, Kaidan?” she’d purred the other night, perched on her side like a panther in its tree, “Tell me.”
This is what he’d finally admitted to.

Summary
Kasumi stared at him from beneath her cowl, "Look at the Commander, what do you see?"
What did he see?
"She is a warrior, unmatched, truly, she glows on the battle field," Kasumi still held that expectant look in her eye and Thane knew he should give in, "Off the battle field? She's beauty incarnate. I grow weak when she merely glances my way."
"Wow," Kasumi chuckled with a wry smirk, "You're in deep."
Thane agreed. He was in deep and he wanted to drown in her.

Being called Shepard never bothered her. The surname was as much her name as her first. “Shepard” was familial in only the most formal sense.
Family connotations didn’t really follow when you didn’t have a family.

Summary
Every day since the raid on Mindoir, the Alliance has failed Rie Shepard. She's been thrown from broken system to broken system with no hope of standing on her own two feet, red tape dragging her along like a marionette. It's only a matter of time before she manages to snag a pair of scissors...
As interesting a concept the Reapers are, they really tend to pigeonhole the direction of the story, dont they? Well, I've decided to say "fuck all that" and write my own version of what would happen if that little star fucker never existed. Depending on how invested I get in to this AU, I may start to go in to the Protheans a bit more. But that'll be waaaaay off. Until then, expect this to mainly stick to the drama of the Batarian Hegemony, gangs, politics, and later on Cerberus.
There are QUITE a few tags so I dont blame you for skipping them, but they will likely grow in number as I continue to write. If you all have suggestions, dont be afraid to leave a comment. A writer is only as good as her audience is responsive.
Enjoy!

Summary
Everyone only hears about Commander Shepard and their extraordinary crew. Filled with heroes that can do amazing feats of bravery and strength. Extranet stories love speculating on the downtime and personal lives of the crew, with many being incorrect and inaccurate. Very few actually get to interview the Commander and their crew, so many of these gossip forums can continue to hypothesize on the life of the Commander and the members of the Normandy.
Whatever the case, it matters not to Shepard. What they do in their spare time is no ones business. Except Liara's.Series

Summary
The Fool represents new beginnings, having faith in the future, being inexperienced, not knowing what to expect, having beginner's luck, improvisation and believing in the universe.
~
Maya doesn’t remember their father. She’d been barely a year old when he died on Shanxi. But she’s heard stories – so many stories – from her mother and Uncle David. Of how heroic he was, how steadfast. How he was the most amazing man they’d ever met.For Maya, it feels less like they were talking about her father and more like a handsome hero from old tales.
And Quinn - who only has very fuzzy memories of their father - is just like him, or so their mother and David always say. And somewhere along the line, Quinn had taken that and used it to mold himself. Their father had been one of the first to graduate from the Alliance’s Spec Ops program, so Quinn took that and ran with it all the way to N7. Their father died a hero on Shanxi, and Quinn was known as the Hero of Elysium, his face plastered on recruitment posters from Vancouver to Arcturus.
No wonder the Alliance tapped him as a possible Spectre. He’s perfect. And Maya hates it.

Garrus tries to step up in Shepard's place, but tensions rise as rumors of a new enemy come to fruition. EDI and the Geth are seemingly inactive, but not totally destroyed.

Summary
Commander Shepard and Garrus Vakarian's chance meeting and joint investigation take them across the galaxy, and change their lives forever.
Excerpt from Chapter 4; Almost Ghosts
Garrus didn’t sleep- he was still too wired- but it felt good to rest by himself for a moment. He tried to direct his thoughts to Haliat and a plan of action to take back the mako, but he couldn't concentrate. He tried to think about Saren, or about the Normandy. He even tried to focus on the ridiculous laughing fit he’d witnessed earlier that day, and Ashley’s embarrassment over her human bodily functions.
He was distracted even as the sun finally set. They executed Shepard’s plan flawlessly- they reclaimed the mako, killed Haliat and his mercs, and successfully signaled the Normandy for pick up. He should be focused on the victory of a job well done. But no matter what else was happening around him, one question just kept bludgeoning its way to the forefront of his mind for the rest of the day, and for many days afterward:
What happened to Shepard on Elysium?

Summary
After the siege on Torfan, the Alliance thanked Jordan Shepard for a job well done, and quietly discharged her from the military. Adrift, she finds herself on Omega, working for Aria T'Loak. When she's hired by Matriarch Aethyta to guard her daughter on a human colony, Shepard is thrown back into Alliance politics — and an ancient conspiracy that might end life in the galaxy as she knows it.
Newly graduated from Serrice University, with only a few archeological digs behind her, Liara T'Soni finds her first real job on Eden Prime, consulting with the Alliance after a Prothean artifact is discovered on the colony. She doesn't expect her estranged father to send a bodyguard, and she certainly doesn't expect that guard to be the Butcher of Torfan. When Shepard activates the beacon, Liara is drawn into something she believes is impossible, and the fate of the galaxy suddenly depends on her and the human touched by the beacon.

Summary
Shepard grows up in war. Lanky and skinny, with bandaged hands and bloody teeth. Her entire life is movement, one run to another, one more, one more, one more. No one stops her so she doesn’t.
Even after the Alliance snaps her up—tells her she’s eighteen now and never ran with the Reds—she doesn’t stop. Her Drill Sargent and then her Commanding Officer point her towards a goal and she asks “what else?”
She doesn’t stop until Torfan.
Or: Shepard’s life and deaths.
