Summary

It was getting harder for her to remind herself that Chrollo’s mind was like a machine that ran smoothly with oil in the form of cruel logic and expert manipulation. To remind herself that he likely couldn’t care less about who she was as a person and that he only saw her as a useful tool for the Spiders in the future. But she was probably better off without such reminders. Even if it was all some sort of calculated plan to manipulate her, it didn’t matter anymore.
And so, Ayumi allowed herself to close her eyes and lean into his hand, imagining it was her father’s touch instead because she already made her decision.

The glare Feitan gave him could’ve melted steel, but Phinks was just standing there smiling that annoying smile, shaking his head like he knew Fei was lying. Which he did, of course. Feitan knew that, but there really was no need for him to push it like this.
‘I fine! You no listen. Fine. No sick!’ Unfortunately, a dizzy spell chose this precise moment to force him to stop and lean against the wall. The nice, cool wall. For some reason he was feeling much too warm. ‘Only weak people catch sick. I no weak.’-
