To the denizens of Runeterra, it was called the Arcane. Magic in the most fundamental form of being. To them, it can be harnessed from the crystalline rock known as hex rocks or hexcrystals. To others in the deep trenches of space, it is the energy that fuels their very being, to them, the true source is called the Allspark. The heart and soul of their God, of their Planet itself.
Each of the two sides is unaware of the other's existence, unaware of what Runeterra houses and of its true potential.
All were unaware until an explosion in the city known as Piltover.

Rhaenyra breathes hard at the proximity. Steps even closer. She does not know why, but she wants to. Craves it. Her usual stony restraint and goading spitefulness when dealing with a furious, self-righteous Queen Alicent having slipped away, leaving only the gnawing want underneath. A feeling that she has rarely acknowledged over these last years though it has been there all along. She feels its force course through her fiercely, unchallenged for the first time in a long time.
“You still wish to reconcile with me?” Rhaenyra whispers in astonishment.
Alicent squeezes her eyes shut, exhales shakily, but she does not move away.
“That is not- do you not see- Oh, Seven Hells.” Alicent lets out a groan of vexation and then lurches forward capturing Rhaenyra’s lips in a bruising kiss.

It’s attempt number three of trying to lean coolly against Carlos' car while they wait for Paul to appear after finishing his shift.
TK descends into laughter again, and Carlos feels so fizzy he can't stand still.
"He's going to walk out here and think we're a pair of idiots," TK whispers, shoving Carlos playfully.
"I'm happy for him to think you're an idiot." Carlos shoves him back. "But I want his first real impression of me to be more accurate than that."
"Nah, he already thinks you're hot and sophisticated," TK says, poking Carlos’ cheek. "So, it's time we prove him wrong."
"Shut up." Carlos tickles at TK's hip, a spot he discovered the thrills of the other night when TK writhed under him and creased into a snort-laugh.
