Summary
Bilbo Baggins was a great many things. He was the master of Bag End, a wealthy gentle hobbit, the favored grandson of the Thain, son of Belladonna Took, and a renowned scholar within the Shire. In fact, Bilbo had made an excellent name for himself, he was a reputable, if estranged and largely rumored about, member of his community. Bilbo was all of this and more, however, there was one thing he was not. That one thing was a simple matter. He was not a Baggins.

Summary
Six years after returning from his unexpected journey, Bilbo Baggins is forced to flee the Shire when goblins invade. He and the four young Hobbit lads he brought to Rivendell with him were the only ones to escape and are shocked to learn that the rest of their people have vanished into thin air. As an alliance of Elves, Men, Dwarves, and a wizard search for their missing people, the remaining Hobbits are granted sanctuary in the Kingdom of Erebor. However, Bilbo’s journey back to the Lonely Mountain is long and treacherous, especially when he’s being pursued by a creature that’s after his blood. Well, his bloodline.

Summary
Several years after the Battle Fíli is part of Thorin's small escort to the Shire in order to sweep their former burglar back with him to the Lonely Mountain. Fíli is eager to return to the Shire but for reasons other than Bilbo. He was looking forward to finding the young hobbit lass he met the night of their unexpected party at Bag End. Little did he know she is now one of Bilbo's charges and has become all too familiar with the adventures of the golden prince (during the Quest and in life in the Mountain). She is also waiting to see if the letters that arrive from the famous dwarven kingdom bring news of another unexpected journey.

But it was better to throw herself into the work than face the fact that she had very nearly lost the ones she loved, face the trauma of the battle, of the dragon sickness, of all the darkness that loomed over her shoulder. Smaug is defeated without the recruitment of a burglar, and several delegations, including one from the Shire, are invited to Thorin's public, official coronation. Bilbo, scribe and bachelor, travels to Erebor with fourteen other Hobbits, embarking on an adventure that will change not only his destiny, but those of many in Middle-earth.
Or, the attempted Hobbit / Pride and Prejudice mashup that nobody asked for. Not to worry, knowledge of the plot of Pride and Prejudice is not necessary to understand this story.
