Two months after the war and Harry is struggling to cope with life. Having faced his mortality, and being plagued by incessant nightmares from the battle, he becomes a recluse as Summer gets underway. One day he is left to his own devices and finds an old potions textbook which may have the answer he needs. He decides to take drastic actions to relive the childhood he and Sirius never got to share.
After the war, Draco was acquitted for most of his crimes, and is released on house arrest under the care of an appointed guardian. Having his magic suppressed and monitored is one thing, but his Mother's cousin was an entirely different matter.

He had brought home one of the babies of the Norwegian Ridgeback that was hatched recently on the dragon reservation in Romania, because he was imprinted on by the little guy and he wanted an excuse to get him out of the reserve.
"I can have dinner cooked up in a few minutes once we get home." Molly waves, before continuing her conversation with Harry about Ron's new mysterious rash.
"Fleur and I wanted to pay for dinner." Bill says, tilting his head at his mother.
"Your Mother believes that Percy will be home for dinner." Arthur says, his eyes following a women's skirt that has printed dragons on it.

Percy Weasley has changed a lot since the Second Wizarding War came to a bloody end.
He might still work for the Ministry, in a job that never fluctuates or changes, and he might still be untrusted by the general public because of the war.

Summary
Harry kept trying to deny and explain away his growing feelings for Ron. However, it got harder and harder after Viktor Krum showed up with Durmstrang for the Triwizard Tournament. Ron was not exactly subtle about his crush on Krum. It was hard to fight down his jealousy when Harry was terrified about what it would mean if Ron started to care about someone else the way he has for Harry since they met.
Or here’s how I would have preferred Harry and Ron’s fourth year to go. My twist on the canon events and their reasonings for happening coupled with some surprises to really hammer home the AU aspect.
