Since the beginning, love and war have been intertwined. Both are inevitable, passion-fueled, desired, and hated. Both are irrational, both require courage and sacrifice.
But most of all, they both are destructive and are often downfall of man.
Ares, the god of war, and Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love, embody such paradox.
It is my own personal belief that they too embodied this incongruity just as so many others that would come and would fall to tragedy.
Guinevere and Lancelot.
Deirdre and Naoise.
Cleopatra and Mark Anthony.
Vishwamitra and Menaka.
Odysseus and Penelope.
Achilles and Patroclus.
And of course,
Helen and Paris.
It is also often said that love comes when least excepted, and least expected it was all those years ago for a girl who’s only dream was to devote her life to her work before a war would bring her and her family ten years worth of anguish and chaos but also kinship and love.
But I am ahead of myself now.

Summary
This is what happens when a journalist becomes a Transformers fan, takes to heart her counselor's advice that writing is fantastic therapy, creates an original character and uses said character for aforementioned therapy. Headline has been making Blackarachnia look like an optimist since 2004 - and along the way, the cast and the story have expanded to welcome in more original characters, show some canon characters in a wildly different light and take a left turn from any established G1 canon. That journalist, meanwhile, has gone from journalist to social worker/actress, gained a global circle of friends who have become her contributors, and discovered that one of those friends was destined to be the love of her life. Not a bad result for what in 2004 was supposed to be a one-off story to get long-simmering angst down on paper.

Starscream schemes to how to work this to his advantage, even if his only ally is a turncoat ex who wants nothing to do with him.
