Summary
A journey of the major characters of the TV Series Game of Thrones forward with their adventures and changes incurring after the resolution of the Long Night. This is a public domain work with no expectation of royalty, donation or gift; and preserves full respect of copyright of the original authors and producers of the related books and TV series.
The series A Realm of Gods and Men will be outlined as seasons of an imaginary TV serial. It will have seasons, each of which may have roughly ten episodes. The first season is hereby named A Chronicle of Smoke and Salt. Arya Stark reaches the three islands of Elissa Farman on her way West of Westeros, and Jon Snow travels to survey land beyond the wall to the extreme end, we are curious where Drogon took Daenerys Targaryen and how are the divided kingdoms’ chronicles going on with Brandon Stark and Sansa Stark. We will also get to cover the unfinished and open ended storylines with Essos, Sothoryos and unfinished puzzles.
We can expect characteristic bittersweetness and unexpected turns and events. However, the story will be neither tragic nor nihilistic. Involves extensive magic, action, violence, romance and references to popular literature and culture.

The children talk about it, but the parents say nothing. They're afraid, but they brush it off. Things like this don't happen.
In the morning, news reaches them about Jon Arryn's death. King Robert of House Baratheon is coming to request Lord Eddard Stark to be Hand of the King.
"Things like this don't happen." they repeat to themselves. It becomes their mantra; they're forcing themselves to believe it.
But it must have been a sign from the Gods, because this is how the nightmare begins.-

I didn't want to write a full long fic, so I'm just going to write and post those two specific scenes.
Chapter 1 and 2 are short snippets of backstory and worldbuilding to set the scene (I already posted those in my WIP Wednesday/Six Sentence Sunday collection)
Chapter 3 will be the requested kiss, and a bit more.
Chapter 4 will be the longest part, inspired by the confrontation in the chapel at the end of Siege and Storm, set in Winterfell's Godswood.

Summary
The attempted invasion of the White Walkers didn't do any good for Westeros, neither did Dany's attempted invasion. Tyrion and the other great lords thought they'd solved everything when they elected Bran the Broken and allowed the North to go free. Little did they know, they've only signed the death warrant for their country, as a result of their illogical actions. In the south Dorne declares independence, while no Reach lord would accept Bronn as the new Lord of Highgarden. In the west the Iron Islands insist on independence as well, and Arya discovers she's unprepared for what's ahead. In the north, Sansa finds ruling harder than she expected, and who knows what's going on with Dany in the east in Asshai.
Peace in Westeros is more fragile now than it has ever been. Bran and the Small Council must do whatever they can to stop Westeros from plunging into another bloody war. But how can they when all they resources and stregth have been depleted beyond belief from all the previous wars?
