Summary
The water tribe siblings stand tall besides him, a stern look on their faces. They're dressed in black, no indication of their roots other than the small beads adorning their hair and the tan color of their skin.
“You're the Fire Prince, right?”.
His body clenches at the title. “Zuko”, he offers. “There's no fire prince”.
The girl’s face stiffens, but when the boy -Sokka, a memory from years ago resurfaces- speaks, his voice is softer. “Zuko”, he repeats the name, and it makes Zuko's fingers numbly tingle. He tells himself it's from the cold.
-Or, The Fire Nation loses the war before the Avatar’s return. Aang cannot restore balance without starting another one. Ergo, a blazing revolution.

Summary
Ozai had never been a loving father, not only to Zuko. He just didn’t have it in him to love. He desired power, so he respected Azula - needed her. He did not love her.
But that was exactly the difference between the two siblings, while Azula had been in the presence of indifference - a possible liking - Zuko wasn’t just subject to a lack of love. No, he faced hatred. Pure disdain.
But it was three years ago that Ozai first left a visible mark on the boy, leaving a scar for the world to see. Shaming him, hurting him and challenging him to death, at once. Publicly humiliating him in a duel meant as a display of respect between two matched opponents, rivals.
And since then, Ozai had grown in aggression, in his abuse.
That's why Zuko had to leave.
OR: In this universe, Zuko was never banished. Instead, he was subject to three more years of abuse, and it's this abuse that causes him to come to his senses, all on his own, and join the Avatar.

Summary
When Zuko gets banished, he does not wait for Iroh, not wanting to cause more damage than he has already, and decides to hike it on his own. He manages quite well for the most part. He is on his own, living, doing whatever it was that needs to be done, when he accidentally ends up saving the Avatar. No big deal, or at least, it wasn't, until he gets roped into joining their little gang of misfits, and then actually begins to care for some of them, despite their idiocy. He just...doesn't know what to do with that.
He does know that they can't know who he really is....

Summary
What? Zuko’s mind swam. He was banished? The avatar…but the avatar was gone? He hadn’t been seen in one hundred years.
“Your uncle tried to accompany you, but the Fire Lord has decreed that he is too useful to the nation as a General and has reinstated his position. He has not been allowed to see you.” The voice sounded hurried and urgent. “They are not allowing me to come on the journey and tend to your injury either.”
Zuko was injured. His father had burned his face. He was banished, he was injured, and he was close to death. But Zuko was sure of at least one thing: He would survive. He had to. He was going to capture the Avatar and regain his honour. This was his last thought before he slipped into unconsciousness. A promise to himself and his nation.
When Zuko loses the Agni Kai he is branded as a traitor to his nation and banished. The Fire Lord decrees general Iroh too valuable to be allowed to accompany his disgraced nephew. He is abandoned instead - left to fend for himself in a fire nation colony.Series

Summary
For a moment he focused on what seemed to be the truth. Zuko was once again seven years old. He was no longer thirty nor was he Fire Lord, so he had to do away with that mindset. Zuko was seven and had just excelled at his first ever Firebending lessons. Azula was five and still unsure of her role in the universe, his Mother was still with him, Ozai was plotting to take the throne, and Aang was twelve and frozen in a block of ice.
Zuko has been Fire Lord for over twenty years when he falls into the past. Quickly realizing he is a combatant in the battle for Azula's soul, he also comes to understand that ---as her older brother--- he has the chance to be the only player in the game.

Summary
Spending some downtime with Aang, who is very happy to talk about tea with his Uncle, Zuko reflects a bit on how his life has turned out. Sure, it sounds boring and mundane, traveling around the world selling tea, but it’s a simplicity he greatly enjoys. Quite the contrast to being the sitting Fire Lord… and the Avatar’s soulmate. Luckily, there is tea for that, that they can happily share.

So when Ozai’s touches began to linger, eyes began to wander, Zuko decided he would do anything to keep his father’s attention, to be loyal beyond a doubt at any expense necessary.
Even himself.

Summary
Zuko was a child when he met Agni. Then, the spirits started coming to him. Eyes hidden in the hallways, voices pleading for help, for recognition, for remembrance.
Zuko could see Agni. He could see the broken remains of a Great Spirit and the empty smiles of amnesiac ghosts.
And they could see him in return.

Summary
Justice is slower than fire. And it burns colder.
In a post-war Fire Nation clinging to old power in new clothes, a widow demands justice for her husband’s death. Her accusation? Lord Ryoku—noble, untouchable, the face of everything Zuko’s court pretends is past.
But the court is still a battlefield. The nobles close ranks. The law twists. Truth drowns in procedure. And Zuko stands at the center, the crown heavier than ever, forced to decide whether justice is something the Fire Nation can afford—or something it cannot survive.
A political thriller in five parts. No bending battles. No easy victories. Just law, legacy, and the slow, suffocating weight of leadership.
Sometimes the only thing that burns faster than lies... is silence.

Summary
This story follows them through the years, focusing on their healing after the war. Zuko never learned how to rest. Sokka never learned how to stop holding everyone else up.
Snippet:
Zuko makes an expression like he’s about to plunge into ice water: “I visited my father again this evening,” he swallows hard, “If you ever see me turning into him I want you to…I want you to end me.”Everything tunnels in.
“No.”
Zuko pauses, runs his hand through his hair, hard, like he’s trying to dig something out of his skull.
”I’m not... right. Not inside. The war’s over, and I thought I’d be at peace. But I’m not,” he squeezes his eyes shut, “Two years have passed. I sleep, and I see visions, fire. I see myself burning everything. Sometimes it’s Sozin’s dragon. Sometimes it’s…memories.”
Sokka watches him and it’s awful, because he recognizes himself, his own version of this. And he wants to fix it, he needs to fix it, needs to get that look out of Zuko’s eyes, but he’s not even sure where to start.
So he says the only thing that feels honest: “It’s okay. I get nightmares too.”

Summary
Sixteen-year-old Zuko doesn’t have much left: no honor, no throne, and no hope—only the burning need to capture the Avatar. So when a powerful, older version of himself crashes into his training session out of nowhere, Zuko figures his luck is finally turning.
Except... It's not.
Fire Lord Zuko, moments after a fatal lightning strike during his battle with Azula, wakes up years in the past—face-to-face with the angry, banished prince he used to be. Time travel was definitely not part of the plan.
