In 1987, Timothy Dugan released a book of memoirs; an account that followed his travels and adventures with the military group known as the Howling Commandos from 1943 to 1945. The short novel has been praised as a “beautiful and tragic retelling of history” that offers insight to America’s most famous, beloved, and mysterious group of soldiers. It has also come under some scrutiny as historians and critics debate whether Dugan’s novel is actually a work of fiction and not a true account of events. Regardless of the origin of the stories told in Brothers, it has touched the hearts of many and remains one of the most talked about publications over the past thirty years. With the return of Captain America in 2012, Brothers has once again become a must-read book, and is the number one pick for our book of the month, year, decade, and possibly century.

After an injury benches Tim for a few months, he and Damian are forced to cohabitate until Tim recovers. Along the way Damian learns that there’s a lot he doesn’t understand about Tim Drake, starting with his total lack of self-preservation.

The blade is heavier than Neteyam remembers. Or maybe his hands are just weaker now, barely holding on. Truthfully, he can't really tell anymore. Can't tell much of anything surrounding him except the weight of the knife against his palm, the familiar worn grip, and the way Naranawm's light catches on the edge.
Lo'ak died here. So it's a grave.
Surely, it's not necessarily a goodbye, just a see you later.
OR
Lo'ak died instead, and it's making Neteyam hear and see him in everything associated with his baby brother.

“For the record, I totally didn’t send this,” Jason declares, resting his fists judgmentally on his hips and wrinkling the bridge of his nose as he takes in the envelope’s exterior details. “I wouldn’t embarrass myself by printing the address for Wayne Manor in Comic Sans. And I definitely wouldn’t use whatever fresh hell that return address is printed in.”
Taking the bagged envelope in hand again, Bruce moves to the Batcomputer and pulls up the folder of fonts on the system. He glances between the envelope and the sample screen for the font he’d already suspected would be a match.
But clocking the font name gives him a great deal of pause. “Jokerman,” he finally declares in a growl through clenched teeth.
Tim, as it turns out, may not be Jack Drake’s son, but Bruce Wayne’s already got kids he picked out personally. That’s okay though, because Tim’s got a plan for how to deal with this revelation—it’s not like he needs acknowledgement from a second father that doesn’t want him, anyway.

After a moment, Strange finishes his spell, letting out a sigh as he drops his magic. The arc reactor in his hand shimmers with power, both magical and regular, the steady white-blue now accented by shivering, red-orange symbols that gently orbit the metal casing.
“Fancy,” Tony says, reaching out to take it.
Strange pulls his hand back instead and says, “Forgive me, Tony.”
Tony can’t move. He freezes in place, hand twitching above the changed arc reactor. Confusion, followed by shock, followed very quickly by fear driven anger as Tony snap his eyes back to Strange.
Strange meets his gaze and says, “When you find him, ask Tim for help.”

Summary
Peter’s gotten used to Gotham by now. The thousand little sounds that build up to the cacophony of a city in controlled chaos. But it isn’t home, and it never will be, and the more time passes, the more that thought makes him twitch. He’s frustrated by it, annoyed that he feels like he’s forcing his way through a world that doesn’t belong to him. Worse, the Soul Stone is starting to become more and more of an issue. As if it senses something coming.
Tony's last words had been 'the threat always comes back.' Thanos won't be thwarted forever, only delayed. Eventually, he's going to hunt down the stray Soul Stone that Peter holds.
The Bats have a few opinions on that. The Avengers that have fallen into this other world have a few of their own. And there's the problem of Dr. Strange's letter...

Instead of the usual grey colour on Damian’s chest he found red. Not blood. Red Kevlar. Green shoulders, uncovered arms and two green gloves tied together by some metallic, enormous handcuffs. Bruce’s eyes shot up to his face instantly, his stomach tightening. White lenses met his; white lenses surrounded by green, hidden under dark locks of hair, blinked back at him.
Tim.
Tim, his other Robin. It was Tim.
[In Bruce's defence, if your two sons practice vigilantism under the same name and wear the same haircut and similar costumes, there is no way you'll never mistake one for the other.]

i will never get over this, absolutely flawless and perfect and ive already said this but it is obvious that so much care was put in this work its overwhelming to read it😭 perfect perfect perfect my favourite portrayal of tim and damians dynamic i love them sm. its always a little bittersweet to see people adoring dick and damian because as much as i enjoy reading their adventures i think about tim and his relationship 1 - with dick 2 - with DAMIAN. and then theres bruce 😭😭😭 and you combined everywthugn brilliantly this makes my heart hurt. ill recommend Tales of Two Birds to everyone im so serious
